I wonder if they will soon start discussing OCTs (Obama Created Terrorists)?
When President Obama decided last year to narrow the scope of the nine-year war in Afghanistan and Pakistan, he and his aides settled on a formulation that sounded simple: Eviscerate Al Qaeda, but just “degrade†the Taliban, reversing that movement’s momentum.
Now, after the bungled car-bombing attempt in Times Square with suspected links to the Pakistani Taliban, a new, and disturbing, question is being raised in Washington: Have the stepped-up attacks in Pakistan — notably the Predator drone strikes — actually made Americans less safe? Have they had the perverse consequence of driving lesser insurgencies to think of targeting Times Square and American airliners, not just Kabul and Islamabad? In short, are they inspiring more attacks on America than they prevent?
It is a hard question.
Of course, the question the Times really wants to ask is “why are we so mean that us Americans create all these terrorists?”
To the disappointment of many liberals who thought they were electing an antiwar president, Mr. Obama clearly rejects the argument that if he doesn’t stir the hornets’ nest, American cities will not get stung. His first year in office he authorized more Predator strikes — more than 50 — than President Bush did in his last four years in office. In December, accepting the Nobel Peace Prize, Mr. Obama stated that sometimes peace requires war.
I think that is one thing we can agree on that we like about Obama, and surely pisses liberals in the NY Times building off beyond belief, not too mention the average moonbat. Of course, not enough for most of them to call Obama out. Notice that most of the vocal opposition to Iraq, Afghanistan, and the War on Terrorism disappeared on 1/20/09.

Otter you little twit how about us getting together ? I am 62 years old, are you afraid to meet u ? And why not post under your own name ? And why choose Otter ? Did some guy tell you you were cuddly and cute ? As far as the Taliban’s origins, they are well known they are direct descendants of the brave freedom fighters that WE paid for to fight those commies back in the 80s. Myself, I wish the Russians were still there. And Otter we have spent 500 billion on Afghanistan which is the equivalent of 20,000 on each and every Afghani int hat country. How do you feel about that ? And if you are such a big fan of fighting those Taliban why aren’t you over there now ? Either in uniform or just as a concerned citizen fighting on your own sort of like RAMBO ?
