Unshockingly, the parents are madder then hell
Parents in Illinois are outraged over a move by a local high school to scrap its girls basketball team’s trip to Arizona over the Grand Canyon State’s new immigration law, FOXNews.com reported Wednesday.
The Highland Park High School varsity basketball team has been selling cookies for months to raise money for a tournament in Arizona.
Now, after winning their first conference title in 26 years, the girls are being denied the opportunity to play in the tournament due to uncertainty over how a new Arizona law that makes it a crime to be in the country illegally will be enforced — and because the trip “would not be aligned” with the school’s “beliefs and values,” Assistant Superintendent Suzan Hebson told The Chicago Tribune.
Hey, Suzan, perhaps you could actually, you know, read the legislation? Isn’t that what you tell the kiddies to do? But, then, in today’s educational climate, reading may not be all that important.
As far as being aligned with the school’s “beliefs and values,” do you teach disregard for the law and support people who have entered our country illegally?
“The school has sent children to China, they’ve sent children to South America, they’ve sent children to the Czech Republic, but somehow Arizona is more unsafe for them than those places,” he said.
“The beliefs and values of China are apparently aligned since they approved that trip,” he added.
But, hey, perhaps the school is actually worried about the girls being kidnapped, killed, assaulted, and or raped by an illegal, and are just covering that worry up by sticking with the unhinged liberal talking points.
Quick update: Latino businesses that serve illegals are seeing their traffic die down. Reuters paints this as a bad thing, for some reason. Especially since most Americans support the Arizona law.

Teach would you do business with an illegal ? Do you require all customers to be able to prove that they are in this country legally before serving them ?
Teach would you do business with an illegal ?
You know Ryan, this is the same canard you tried to float before. Teach answered you question as to his situation.
Furthermore, I answered that it would be illegal for Teach or anyone to demand proof of citizenship before selling something to them.
You never responded to those points and yet here you are repeating the same disproved quackery.

Good lord. All I can say is, Good Lord. These idiots against keeping our borders safe would dissappear as soon as the next 9/11 occurs ( I hope not!) due to some a-hole slipping across the border. And why not? They know the administration doesn’t have an inclination to protect the borders. Would you advertise with a sign in your front yard that you leave your back door unlocked? idiots.
