Sorta Blogless Sunday Pinup

patriotic pinup

Happy Sunday! As always, it is a great day to be an American, even with those thunderstorms popping outside, rattling around enough to cause a paper to fall off my printer. This Pinup post is going to be fun for me, because I have to install Photoshop on my new laptop (someone gave me a Master’s Edition version), which is going to take a while, and I have no idea how to use it (I have always used Microsoft Digital Imaging 10, and the disks are missing), plus I am using my corporate laptop to write sans mouse, which messes with my right hand pinky (carpel tunnel).

Also, interestingly, even though it was being installed, WIndows 7 thought nothing was happening, and took a nap. So, a hint, if you are installing something big, make sure you change the sleep settings, or touch the mouse or scroll pad every once in awhile.

Not a clue who did this pinup, but, already had the Flag in it, so, perfect for today! Plus a bonus oldy at the end in honor of what the first link is about!

You’ll have fun with Photoshop! I got Photoshop Elements about a month ago (sans instructions) and have slowly been feeling my way around. But, then, it is light years above MS Paint, which is what I had been using!

  3. We’ll see. I was never a big fan before, preferred my Microsoft program over Photoshop 6.0. One thing I cannot find is how to do a “fill in.” With the Microsoft program, I could highlight an area, and it would fill it in (pretty well, too.) Guess I just have to play.

To fill in Photoshop, once the area is highlighted (marching ants) you can:
    1) bring up the fill dialogue box under EDIT>FILL
    -or-
    2) bring up the fill dialogue box by hitting SHIFT F5
    -or-
    3) use the keyboard short cuts of: ALT-BACKSPACE which will fill the area with the background color;
CRTL-BACKSPACE which will fill the area with the foreground color.

    • I’ll give it a try, but, Digital Imaging just seems so much easier. Plus, a friend had a copy of the 2006 version. Got it installed.

The NRC recently released 3 reports. In those reports there amounted to nothing but grovelling by the scientific community for more grant money.

They basically said the only way to prevent global catastrophe was to reduce co2 by 17 percent thru Cap and Trade. 17 percent is quite a far cry from the 40 percent they were claiming was needed just months ago.

“But the nation also needs the scientific community to expand upon its understanding of why climate change is happening and focus also on when and where the most severe impacts will occur and what we can do to respond.”

    LIKE MM’s Malaria Study.

As you can see…basically they issue a report proclaiming were all gonna die and then asking for money to study the consequences of dying due to AGW.

Hey Lee- has the RNC released any new reports regarding that night at the lesbian bondage themed club? That looked like a party!

Digital Imaging is easier. It is made for the masses. Photoshop is a “whole ‘nother beast.” To use it and use it well takes training and a certain understanding of how Photoshop works and sees things.

It is not an easy program to learn.

But there is a reason it is used by almost every graphics professional in the world. :) It is the most versatile, most flexible, and has the greatest options of any similar program out there. It is not for everyone.

If you have any questions on it, you have my email so either shout out here or send an email my way.

I am not sure. But if you give the AGW crowd enough grant money I am sure they will find a link between Global warming and the sex habits of Republicans.
