NY Times Columnist ObamaLuv Hack tells us that The Thrill Is Gone, and, while PeBo shares some blame, well, it is pretty much everyone else’s fault that The One is failing

President Obama’s relationship with America, like many a young marriage, is growing sour.

Except, 58,343,671 of us voted for McCain. Certainly, some were voting against Obama, rather than for McCain. And, of PeBo’s 66,882,230, some were certainly voting against McCain. Either way, a marriage that 46% of us were against, because one of the parties was a reckless, feckless, untested community organizer with no particular training or experience is not a good marriage.

Chucky thought PeBo’s Oval Office speech was super fantasticallicious!, and bemoans the “carping” that occurred afterwards. He then throws in Bush and Palin bashing, followed by

It is becoming increasingly apparent that the magic has drained away. Even among his most ardent supporters, there now exists a certain frustration and disillusionment — not necessarily in the execution of his duties, but in his inability to seize moments, chart a course and navigate the choppy waters of public opinion.

No, pretty much in the execution of his duties, Chuck. He makes Carter look, well, not good, but at least not the most incompetent and clueless president ever. Of course, Barry had to work very hard!!!!! to fix all the issues that Cowboy George left behind, because no president has ever been left with issues.

The first step is acknowledgement: There is blame on both sides.

On one side is America — fickle and excitable, hotheaded and prone to overreaction, easily frightened and in constant need of reassurance.

In other words, why aren’t you worshiping King Barry? Friggin’ jerkoffs. Scoundrels. Rubes. Morons. Get it together. Get back to your alters.

On the other side stands Obama — solid and sober, rooted in the belief that his way is the right way and in no need of alteration. He’s the emotionally maimed type who lights up when he’s stroked and adored but shuts down in the face of acrimony. Other people’s anxieties are dismissed as irrational and unworthy of engagement or empathy. He seems quite comfortable with this aspect of his personality, even if few others are, and shows little desire to change it. It’s the height of irony: the presumed transformative president is stymied by his own unwillingness to be transformed. He would rather sacrifice the relationship than be altered by it.

He’s just trying hard, so, why don’t you f***ing a**holes still love him? (Is anyone else think that perhaps Charles has one of those pictures of Obama with a halo or on a unicorn on his desk? Yeah, I don’t want to dwell on that, either)

Add to this tension the fact that conservative Blue Dog Democrats are doing everything they can to keep their jobs and Republicans are doing everything they can to make Obama lose his, and it only aggravates the situation.

Really, it seems to be everyone else’s fault in Charles’ World. He never gets around to actually criticizing Obama. At worst, a gentle chiding, like with a child who keeps eating dust. As for the rest of you people, Charles would probably like you all to move, and let Barry do his thang.
