Portland police said Wednesday that they will reopen and investigate a massage therapist’s allegations that former
Vice President Al Gore sexually assaulted her at a downtown hotel in October 2006.
The new stance came as therapist Molly Hagerty went public, telling the National Enquirer in its latest edition that she’s demanding a full police investigation of her complaint.
Records that police released last week revealed that Portland sex assault investigators took a detailed statement from Hagerty in January 2009 but never investigated it and closed the case, citing “insufficient evidence.”
Of course, let’s be fair, Hagerty could be full of it. I have to wonder, though, is she dumb enough to push this issue, which has landed on the international stage, considering Gore’s status on globull warming (hmm, status. Isn’t that one of the reasons I always mention to go with AGW, along with $$$$?)? Because, if she is proven wrong, the Portland police will have to prosecute her, and she will go to jail.
Anyhow, The Goracle broke his silence, sort of, through a family spokesman
“Further investigation into this matter will only benefit Mr. Gore,” Kalee Kreider said. “The Gores cannot comment on every defamatory, misleading and inaccurate story generated by tabloids. Mr. Gore unequivocally and emphatically denied this accusation when he first learned of its existence three years ago. He stands by that denial.”
We shall see.
Right now, Gore’s world is crashing around him. This complaint, his marriage, and his globull warming beliefs. I take no pleasure in this (except the globull warming thing.) I used to truly like Gore. I liked the way he stood up for the environment, before he went nuts after he lost the 2000 election (I did vote for him, BTW). He used to mostly practice what he preached, now he seems to be into AGW for the status (hmm) and money.
Meanwhile, Gore’s pet money making project is now responsible for kidnapping, rape, and robbery, among other crimes. And we have a new tipping point. 190 years. Um, OK.
