Yet again, the “surprise” word is thrown out, along with “unexpectedly”
Weekly Jobless Claims Post Surprise Jump, Hit 500,000
New U.S. claims for unemployment benefits unexpectedly climbed to a nine-month high last week, yet another setback to the frail economic recovery.
Frail? There has to actually be economic recovery to be considered frail. We’ve heard this mantra for 18 months since Obama’s Big Stimulus was passed, and, unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to be getting better. This is the longest lasting economic downturn since the Great Depression. The party in charge of Congress since 2007 not only has no clue what to do, they are doing the exact opposite of what could get the economy going again. We won’t even mention Mr. Never Had A Real Job in the White House.

And what is sad is that even the other party has no clue. Have they put up any legislation that could fix this mess? (yes, I know they are the minority).
But, what did they do when Bush was president? Nothing but raise spending and do nothing about the things that caused this mess.
I have no confidence in the Republicans fixing anything but their pocketbooks – just like the Dems.
It’s time to bring in the Roto-Rooter president to make this “business” profitable during down times like this.
