I guess this makes all the Democrats in Chicago (Cook County voted 76% for Obama) raaaaacists, bigots, and Islamophobes. Or, maybe they are just plain “un-American”, as NYC Mayor Bloomberg says. And, by extension, that makes Obama a racist, bigot, Islamophobe, and un-American, simply because he is associated with Chicago. Anyhow: Permit Denied For Mosque In West Rogers Park

It is an empty restaurant in the West Rogers Park neighborhood. Some wanted to turn into a mosque. Business leaders and the city apparently don’t agree. CBS 2’s Vince Gerasole reports.

It sounds a bit like the controversy over the proposed mosque in New York near where the Twin Towers fell. Perhaps at first glance, but not when you scratch beneath the surface.

We’re hearing from the local chamber of commerce and alderman’s office that the city has denied a special use permit that would allow a mosque to replace a shut down hot dog grill.

It’s based on the need to generate tax revenue on the former site of the original Fluky’s and later U Lucky Dawg, at 6821 N. Western Ave.

Yet, that same location has been sitting vacant for two years, a victim of Obama’s Recession (hey, if Lefties can call Vietnam Nixon’s war, we can call this Obama’s recession), and CBS News Chicago is not fully buying the idea that this is simply a case of wanting to restrict the property to tenants who will generate tax revenue, as a mosque would be tax exempt.

“We are planning to educate people about Islam, a misunderstood religion,” said Rashid Mopiwala, Faizan e Madina.

I can’t find anything on the Internet about this area’s Muslims being watched or investigated by any law enforcement or intelligence agencies, and, yes, there are good non-terrorist supporting Muslims, but, I have two questions for Mopiwala: will you condemn Hamas and Hezbollah as terrorist organizations, and, will women be allowed full integration and participation in the mosque?

Meanwhile, the Lefty who stabbed the cab driver in NYC (an attack I maintain was just a case of being a drunk ***hole), should be thrilled, since he is being charged using the Democrats George Orwell though crimes laws

Enright is facing charges of second-degree attempted murder as a hate crime, second-degree assault as a hate crime, second-degree aggravated harassment as a hate crime, and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, said New York police Detective Mark Nell.
