No, no, guess first. Don’t skip to to the excerpt. Guess. Hey! No peeking! OK, ready?
VAL D’ISERE, France — The women’s World Cup super-G in Val d’Isere has been called off due to heavy snowfall.
Heavy snow fell overnight and continued into Friday morning. Organizers had hoped to hold the race in the afternoon but conditions were not set to improve enough, with extremely poor visibility.
That’s right, snow skiing called off due to…..snow.
Meanwhile, regarding that “environmental justice” meeting Obama hosted the other day, would this surprise you?
At an all-day White House conference on “environmental justice,” Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano announced that her department is creating a new task force to battle the effects of climate change on domestic security operations.
Hell, they can’t secure the border or stop most terrorists, but, they can grope Nuns and kids and “battle” Mother Nature. Uh huh.
wow Teach how extreme is THAT ! In what will go down as one of the top 3 HOTTEST years on record we have more extreme SNOW conditions. And coldest Dec on record in the UK while the rest of the world bakes in heat. Gee this does sound just like Gore said was going to happen doesn’t it. And even here in the good old US of A we have gone from record breaking HIGH temps to extreme snow.http://amarillo.com/news/local-news/2010-12-18/snow-system-rolls-through-panhandle
Thanks for pointing out how much more extreme the weather is getting as the planet heats up !
Fortunately the skies cleared and the temps DROPPED so the race could go on. Teach when Val got the heavy snow it was much warmer, REMEMBER it snows most when the temps are close to freezing 32F later in this week Val will again warm up, and get more snow.
