Sheesh, Dickie, lighten up
Senate Assistant Majority Leader Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) on Thursday night blasted for-profit colleges that he said don’t always provide quality education and can leave prospective students in debt. In particular, he criticized an advertisement saying you can get an education while staying at home in bed in your pajamas.
“The ad that just really troubles me shows a lovely young woman who says you can go to college in your pajamas,” he said. “You don’t even have to get out of bed to go to college, and she’s got a computer on her bed there.”
Oh, the babeannity!
Oops, the picture didn’t attach!
Durbin’s comments are part of the attack on “for profit” schools from the left. The NEA hates the schools because they do not have teachers with tenure and allow people that actually have worked in the field to teach subjects.
Durbin is just saying what his base wants him to say.
He is wrong, but that has never stopped him before.
I’ve seen that commercial and she is one sexy looking little thing and it’s actually pretty good. I know a lot of people that have taken college courses over TV and even write in and they did just fine.
And by the way Dick Durbin is a DB. One more thing you can upgrade this to WP 3.1.2 as it’s recommended on the log-in page.
“Semper Fi”
C’mon, William! You know it ain’t a story without the pictures!
Yeah, I almost lost interest till I saw pictures that stimulated the brain. I then went back and read your article to see if it said anything about Victoria Secret Angels would now not be wearing their pajamas in their new Spring Catalog.
Aghast, I was amazed to find that you had DICK for an article.!!!!!!
I can’t tell you how deflated and reduced that made me.
Someone needs to tell DICK, that all schools are for profit!!! And all secondary schools place their students into HIGH DEBT.
This is just his impotent push for FREE college education. Cause.. we have lots of extra money burning a hole in his pocket. Or, is he just happy to see us?
I mean, yeah, for profit schools are evil. Like Yale, Princton, Harvard….
