And, because it annoys them, they have to attempt to ruin it for everyone else (just to be clear, not all atheists should be blamed, just the group American Atheists)
An atheist group has filed a lawsuit seeking to prevent a cross made out of World Trade Center steel beams from going on display at the 9/11 Memorial Museum. American Atheists sued this week in state court arguing that the group opposes the placement of the cross in the museum because members believe it is the only religious article getting special accommodation there. The cross, made of two intersecting steel beams, was found standing in the rubble of the World Trade Center following the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
It looked like this, and provided a ray of hope during dark days
“This cross is now a part of the official WTC memorial. No other religions or philosophies will be honored. It will just be a Christian icon, in the middle of OUR memorial,†Dave Silverman, president of American Atheists, said in a release.
THEIR memorial? Last time I checked, it was supposed to be a memorial to those who were killed by Muslim extremists, and for the American People, not simply for atheists. The 9/11 Memorial will tell the story of the attacks, how they happened. Silverman wants atheists and others to be allowed to put their own symbols in. I wasn’t aware that atheists had religious symbols. Or, does he just want to ruin it for everyone? Furthermore
“This steel remnant became a symbol of spiritual comfort for the thousands of recovery workers who toiled at ground zero, as well as for people around the world,” said 9/11 Memorial President Joe Daniels. “In the historical exhibition, the cross is part of our commitment to bring back the authentic physical reminders that tell the story of 9/11 in a way nothing else can.â€
The cross was found by workers digging for survivors on September 13th, and brought great comfort to them. Let’s hear from Frank Silecchia, who found the cross, and wrote “God’s House” on the building
“Our country is hurting right now, and I can’t think of a better way to strengthen it – – through God’s hands. It ain’t a point of religion, it’s a point of faith.”
“This country feels, in some way, God has forsaken them, and I don’t want that to be happening,” he said.
Silecchia said the cross could help people of all beliefs. “Even an atheist watching this building must have said, ‘Oh, my God!’ Evil did this work, and God prevailed to show his strength.”
Sorry, Frank, an atheist group doesn’t want to allow it, because it offends them. So, they’ll attempt to ruin it for everyone.

I heard the guy and he is a liar and a jerk. It wouldn’t have been an issue he says, if only the dumb Christians hadn’t blessed it. He said it’s just a mangled piece of metal, and there were plenty of them in the rubble.
But some folks who lived through this attack and subsequent cleanup, actually saw a cross in the twisted metal, and praised it as God’s work. And that my friends, is a no-no. Oh Boy. This atheist is whacked.
