With a tip of the fedora (or, really, the NJ Devils hat I have on after hitting the gym) to R.S. McCain, comes this wonderful, tender story of a Hollywood actress, Scarlett Johansson, who is known more for her boobs and butt (yes, I know, kinda sexist, but, quick, think of a good movie she has been in………..you’re thinking of her leaked nude photos, aren’t you? Her nude magazine cover? Admit it. Now name a movie she has been in…..tough, eh?). And here we go
Johansson, who has been active in campaigning for various Democratic political leaders, including Barack Obama, tells Biskind that nearly one term later “we’re all guilty of being idealistic, I and everyone who voted for him.†But in response to being asked if she would work for him again, she says, “It would be irresponsible not to.â€
Obama is actually making Jimmy Carter look, well, not good, but, certainly not The Worst President Ever. At least he was engaged, instead of being a PINO (president in name only).
McCain writes
This shouldn’t be surprising, given the notorious liberalism of Hollywood, but it doesn’t make sense to those of us out here in the rest of America, where pretty girls generally tend to be conservative. To cite one example, the annual Reaganpalooza, the post-CPAC party sponsored by the Young Conservatives Coalition, is a total babefest.
Well, at least Scarlett isn’t going completely bat guano insane, such as Cameron Diaz and her “women will be raped” idiocy over the possibility of George Bush being re-elected. But, hey, maybe she was talking about the Occupy movement.
I can see through my monitor that you are still wondering about Scarlett’s movies. Here you go.
Who really cares what the people in Hollywood think? It would be nice if we decided they need special taxes for windfall profits.
[…] to Scarlett Johansson. I don’t want to make Alyssa Milano jealous.UPDATE: Linked by Pirate’s Cove and Weasel Zippers — thanks! — and now a Memeorandum thread. By the way, Alyssa Milano […]
[…] But, alas and alack [and Afflack], it was not to be! [At least Admiral Teach got it right!] […]
At the risk of joining in the sexism she does have a great ass.
Sadly, Johannson represents much of the so called “modern day” thinking.
What she is actually saying is that it would be irresponsible to admit she made a mistake in voting for Obama. If she believes Obama is good for the country, we can certainly disagree with her, but that is another subject.
What is bothersome is an apparent inability of people today to admit they have made a bad decision.
In today’s world, it seems to be more about maintaining that one is right rather than being right.
I care very much what they think. It is rare that I will buy anything they make, produce or direct or star in…or for that matter I almost never watch tv anymore because of the smut that is being produced by the entertainment industry.
If they want to participate rigorously in politics it is their right…… It is also my right in the CURRENT free market Capitalist system to NOT buy what they are peddling……well at least until the progressive democrats change America for the better…HUH???
Additionally Hollywood types are basic idiots. Seriously what have they really done in life? LOOK GOOD? Can pretend to be something else? Take off their clothes at the drop of a dime and climb in bed with other people they do not know?
Take drugs? Drink excessively. Be compulsive. Invest in SHRINKS?
And we as a nation are obsessed with these types of people who basically are whores, drug addicts and obsessive/compulsive addicts?
I have never been a hero worshipper and when I see the smut coming out of hollywood I just get sad…so when they further sully their worthless reputations by jumping into another cesspool that is politics………
I certainly show these clowns what I think by refusing to support them in any form.
But the MAIN STREAM MEDIA shouts…….hollywood is god…they are leading us to the cultural promised land….praise charlie sheen……praise obama.
