I’ve been somewhat remiss in covering the North Carolina Democrat sexual harassment issue, but, hey, can’t ignore the idiocy from our esteemed Governor Bev Perdue (who also “joked” about doing away with the 2012 elections)
(Daily Caller) During the heated exchange with reporters, Perdue claimed her constituents don’t care about sexual harassment cases like this one.
“My comment continues to be: This is an internal personnel matter at the party and the party is working on it, and so I would just ask everybody else there to focus on what really matters to North Carolinians —and that’s jobs for people and good schools for their children,†Perdue said. “That’s the fundamental issue before us as we enter an election cycle, and I cannot get into personnel matters.â€
Perdue then refused to say whether she would support an investigation, and said she would not say when she first learned about the sexual harassment allegations or anything about the scandal.
Pushed again for answers, Perdue then told one reporter: “Get over it.â€
I caught this on WTVD here in Raleigh, and it is even worse on video. She’s very petulant, and it seems rather disturbing for her to simply blow off charges of sexual misconduct. But, you have to love how she strays into what I call Stage 6, whining about the topic, and why aren’t we discussing “x”? Might be a really bad idea to discuss how bad your record is in the economy, Bev.
Follow the link to the DC, which has the NC GOP response and Bev beatdown.
Somewhat related, Dr. Melissa Clouthier finds Wisconsin Dems denigrating a Republic woman. Like sexual harassment and poor transparency, it’s OK with Dems when they themselves do it.
This from the party that always talks about how they support women?
Sexual harassment is “not a big deal?”
Am I the only one who remembers the fury over Herman Cain and the woman who alleged he had sexually harassed her?
If Cain had harassed someone, it was wrong and he should be held accountable for it. If someone at the NC Democrat Party harassed someone, they should be held accountable.
That is a consistent position, the likes of which drive liberals and the left nuts.
Democrats are more concerned with Romney putting a dog on his car roof than one of their own in a sexual harassment issue.
So, does this mean she would oppose the investigation in to the Secret Service hooker scandal?
