While Team Obama isn’t willing to air an ad here in the United States apologizing to all the Tea Party members whom he called “Teabaggers”, all the private citizens Team Obama has insulted, the women insulted by million dollar donor Bill Mahr, nor all the Mormons who’ve been denigrated by the Broadway show “The Book Of Mormon”, they’re willing to apologize and distance themselves from a stupid movie made using our 1st Amendment
(Politico) The Obama administration is airing ads on Pakistani television condemning the anti-Islamic film “The Innocence of Muslims,” a State Department spokeswoman confirmed Thursday.
“As you know, after the video came out, there was concern in lots of bodies politic, including Pakistan, as to whether this represented the views of the U.S. Government. So in order to ensure we reached the largest number of Pakistanis – some 90 million, as I understand it in this case with these spots – it was the judgment that this was the best way to do it,” State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland told reporters.
The ads show clips of President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton condemning the film in English (but dubbed in Urdu) in remarks they made last week, emphasizing that it was not produced or authorized by the United States government.
Wonderful. Appeasement to extremist animals
(Bloomberg) The 30-second U.S. announcement, subtitled in Urdu, shows Obama saying the U.S. rejects “all efforts to denigrate the religious beliefs of others.†Clinton is shown saying, “the United States government had absolutely nothing to do with this video. We absolutely reject its content and message.â€
Liberals like to talk about a “separation between church and state”. When the Central Government is offering protection for one specific religion, it is putting that religion above the others, almost making it the state religion. It gets better!
A second message featuring clips, drawn from Google Inc. (GOOG)’s YouTube, of ordinary Americans condemning the film is also being shown in countries around the world, according to State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland. The anti-Islam video drew international condemnation when it was posted on YouTube, a video-sharing service.
When will the US get apologies and condemnations coming from the Muslim world for 9/11? For sawing the head off of Nick Berg and others? For the huge amount of terrorist attacks against Americans and American property? For the Pan Am attack over Lockerbie? How about for the killing of our Ambassador and support staff?
Pakistan’s Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf appealed for calm as security forces bid to counter violent protests against an anti-Islam film that continues to spark demonstrations in the Muslim world.
The government shut mobile-phone services in major cities and closed roads leading to U.S. diplomatic posts in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad using shipping containers. Protesters set fire to two movie theaters and the chamber of commerce building in the northwestern city of Peshawar, while demonstrators blocked roads in Rawalpindi, Lahore and Karachi, local television channels showed.
The mobile system will be shut down till 6pm Pakistan time Friday to keep the Islamist from coordinating their continuing violent protests. And, if you have to urge followers of the Religion of Peace to be peaceful, well, that says quite a bit about what the faithful believe.
