Really, Republicans are damned if they do damned if they don’t in the majority of American media, so they might as well do
Republicans toss insults at Harry Reid
Washington’s shutdown blame game is already in full force – and the government isn’t even closed yet.
About 20 House Republicans gathered on the steps of the United States Senate on Sunday afternoon, a time usually reserved in the city for watching the Redskins. Instead, tourists gathered to watch Republican after Republican demanding that the Senate come back in session, accusing the Democratic controlled chamber of being “lazy†and Majority Leader Harry Reid of taking his ball and going home rather than negotiating with GOP leadership over the weekend.
I hope there’s something more than that. Let’s read on
“I’m glad now to invite to the microphone our distinguished majority leader in the Senate,†said Rep. Bill Johnson of Ohio, gesturing to an empty microphone as House members guffawed. “I’m sorry, Harry’s not here today. Maybe he’ll show up later.â€
Really, that’s as bad as it gets. Now, let’s consider what Democrats have shrieked about Republicans over the past week
- Terrorists
- Kidnappers
- Hostage takers
- Drunks
- Chain Smokers
- the GOP “Have A Bomb Strapped To Their Chest”
Well, obviously “lazy” is so much more despicable.
[…] know why. The media reports the Democrat rhetoric as if it’s fact.Update: I almost forgot, Politico had a hissy fit over the GOP mildly insulting the Democrats. But I suppose the Democrats’ likening the GOP to arsonists, extortionists and suicide […]
I think I know what the problem is.
The TRUTH hurts, and lazy is exactly what Harry is and the Democrats are being.
But those other ridiculous accusations being made about the Rs are furthest from the truth, so they can just ignore it!
I read the article but couldn’t find the hissy fit. Where did the reporter criticize the Republicans?
