Android App Of The Day: Gingerbread Keyboard

Starting a new thing, since I’m definitely a tech geek. Listing some of my favorite apps. Today’s is Gingerbread Keyboard, also known and Keyboard From 2.3. Can’t provide a proper link while using my Droid to write this.

Obviously, it is based on the Gingerbread keyboard. I find it extremely easy, it was one of the first apps I obtained when I purchased my tablet, as I was not impressed with Android stock spellcheck. I did try a framework others, but I like the ease, size of the keyboard, spellcheck, integration of speech to text. I find it closer to Apple’s keyboard, and have installed it on my Droid phones, mom’s droids, girlfriend’s, and others. My One S is on 4.1, still like this one better.

You can change things like key height, text size, and more.

Anyone know a better one? I’m not in to the swype types, but others might be.

I have been using the “Hackers Keyboard” and have been pretty happy with it.

I can see why you like the Gingerbread keyboard, but I am not sure I like it enough to change.

Great idea for a series of posts though. You can’t trust online reviews at the Google Store, so sharing information on what is good is very helpful.

  2. Hacker’s looks interesting, but I am so used to Gingerbread.

    Have music players tonight.

I have been using SwiftKey for quite a while. I like it so well, I purchased it. It’s very intuitive and the word prediction is most accurate.
