Whew! It sure seems to be getting better
(Des Moines Register) Nearly 16,000 Iowans who tried to apply for coverage via the trouble-plagued federal health-insurance website are being told to apply separately through the state Department of Human Services.
The Friday afternoon announcement is the latest bout of bad news about the website, which is a key part of the Affordable Care Act.
The affected people should be receiving emails and letters about the situation from the state. They are being urged to reapply at the state website, dhsservices.iowa.gov, or by calling 1-855-889-7985.
Apparently the carrier pigeons are to tired (and cold), and all that globull warming created snow took down the telegraph lines.
Oh, and in case you were wondering, Iowa goes through the federal healthcare.fail website. And the plans are, as typical high on the deductibles.
I wonder when we will hear the same for other states?
Yeah so they tell 16,000 Iowans on Friday that they must reapply for coverage – must make them feel ‘twice cancelled’ – and then on Saturday, the Iowa DHS takes their web site down. https://dhsservices.iowa.gov/
Bravo. Wish more Iowans knew about Dr. Ben Carson (http://www.runbenrun.org/) who has been speaking truth to power about our national healthcare issues. Hey Iowa, don’t you have caucuses next month??
Hey the Democrats have proved many times over that they can deploy great tech when they want to – like when they are campaigning to get elected – why can’t they deploy that great tech when it’s the regular citizens who are depending on good tech??
