Obama Tells Us What The Real Voter Fraud Is

Hint: it’s the people passing laws that require people to verify who they are in order to vote

(The Blaze) President Barack Obama tore into state voter ID laws Friday when speaking to the Rev. Al Sharpton’s National Action Network, accusing Republicans of trying to block minorities, women and seniors from voting and calling the laws a fraud.

“We don’t want folks voting that shouldn’t be voting,” Obama told the gathering in New York. “Let’s stipulate to that as the lawyers say, but there is a reason why those who argue that harsh restrictions on voting are somehow necessary to fight voter fraud are having such a hard time proving any real widespread voter fraud.”

Except for the 36,000 cases of potential voter fraud in 2012, just in the state of North Carolina. Every illegal vote harms a legitimate vote.

Obama said most studies show voter fraud is not a problem.

“The real voter fraud is those that try to deny our rights by making arguments about voter fraud. but I have to say, there have been some of these officials who have been passing these laws have been more blunt,” Obama said.

And there you have it: Mr. Obama is Chooming again. Or demagoging. Possibly both. Of course, Liberals are only concerned about voter fraud when they lose an election. Otherwise, it’s no big deal.

Would it surprise you that Obama also went down the raaaaacism superhighway? Of course not: he’s a Democrat and speaking at Sharpton’s race baiting and tax avoiding NAN.

He noted that he visited the Lyndon B. Johnson Presidential Library the day before. Johnson signed the Voting Rights Act in 1965 to prevent efforts by local government to prevent blacks from voting.

“The right to vote is threatened today in a way that it has not since nearly five decades ago. Across the country, Republicans have led efforts to pass laws making it harder, not easier, for people to vote,” Obama said. He went on to say, “We won’t let voter suppression go unchallenged.”

Democrats think that Blacks are too stupid and too lazy to be able to get a proper ID, which is needed for almost everything nowadays. Like……visiting the White House

All guests 18 years of age or older will be required to present a valid, government-issued photo identification (detailed below). All foreign nationals must present their passport. All other forms of foreign identification will not be accepted.

What kind of ID’s are acceptable?

Valid government-issued United States identification card (e.g. drivers license, military ID, etc.)

Valid United States or other official government-issued passports

Apparently, Obama doesn’t want Black people to visit the White House. Otherwise, why would he require ID and in such a restrictive manner?

Teach if as you believe there is wide spread voter fraud why are there so few convictions?
NC has a voter fraud rate of 0.00174 and is about average in the USA if it was 500 times worse it would still be less than 1%

  2. Jl says:

Hard to convict people when one doesn’t know it’s happening. To know it’s happening one has to have a system in place to assure voter integrity. To assure voter integrity, the easiest method is IDs.

  3. Jeffery says:

36,000 potential fraudulent votes? Wrong. There are hundreds of millions of potential fraudulent votes. Fortunately, few of those “potential” fraudulent votes have been proven. North Carolina may have confirmed 700 or so who voted in NC and in another state in 2012, but it wasn’t clear if it was in the same election. Certainly it wouldn’t be unusual for someone to vote in SC, VA, KY, TN, NY etc in an election in February, move to NC and vote in a Nov presidential election.

On the other hand, the Republican voter suppression machine is running overtime, making it more and more difficult for Americans to cast their votes. You’re closing polling places, cutting hours – in Florida they’ve closed the bathrooms at one polling place known for hour-long lines – no early voting…

So-called conservatives and libertarians are petitioning the State to force American citizens to possess official photo identification papers to be presented upon demand in order to exercise the most important right we possess.

Once again, people only have to look at the two elections prior to the 2000 presidential election in Florida. A federal judge found massive fraud in the Miami-Dad area and elsewhere.

History is not on the side of Jeffery and those who claim that fraudulent votes don’t exist or never have existed.

As for the closing of bathrooms, let’s be clear: the bathrooms are closed because of potential lawsuits from people under the ADA. Many voting places are not “public accommodations” and their rest room facilities are not ADA compliant.

And for the record, this movement started in Miami-Dade which is decidedly liberal and Democrat leaning.

It is not Republicans who don’t want to see eligible voters cast their votes, it is liberals and Democrats who want ineligible voters to vote or people to vote multiple times in order to cancel out other legally cast votes.

Liberals hate the honest voting process.

So-called conservatives and libertarians are petitioning the State to force American citizens to possess official photo identification papers to be presented upon demand in order to exercise the most important right we possess.

Pure pablum from Jeffery. People are required permits to speak in certain areas. People are required in some states to own a gun. Businesses are required licenses and people are required to obtain a license in order to make a living in contrast to the right to “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” which has it’s foundation in the ability to work and make a living.

The right to vote is important which why it must be protected from liberals like Jeffery, john and the Democrat party who wish to have people’s votes invalidated by illegal activity.

  5. jl says:

The Constitution gives the states wide latitude to set their own voting places, polling hours, early voting procedure, ect. It’s funny- J&J argue that because, as they say, there’s nothing fraudulent going on, voter ID= voter suppression. Well, there’s nothing “fraudulent” going on by the states, either, as they exercise their constitutional right to the above. What do you two have against the Constitution? Also, it seems for the most part it’s red states that are enacting voter ID. So, according to J&J’s “logic”, that would mean it would be mostly red, or conservative votes being suppressed, something I’m sure wouldn’t bother them. Or, are they under the impression that only blacks and other minorities would be affected? And if so, why do you two think minorities are inferior in the ability to procure ID’s that are required not just of them, but of everybody? Why are you two so racist?

  6. Jeffery says:

    poor gitar, poor jl…

Not sure why you think forcing minorities to kowtow to the government that they may have good reasons to distrust is such a good idea.

It’s not that blacks can’t, it’s that they may not want to obey you jack booted government thugs. In the two areas of commerce where blacks can freely compete with whites – sports and entertainment – they seem to do just fine, even excel.

Conservatives don’t view most minorities as “real Americans” so suppressing their vote is no big deal to you. But yet, the vote of that black homeless man in Detroit is as important as yours. Of course you prefer he not vote since he likely will cancel your vote, but that’s democracy. The voter suppression schemes being engineered by the Republicans have nothing to do with voter fraud.

  7. jl says:

Jeffery- That had to be one of the lamest “rebuttasl” I’ve ever read. “Not sure why forcing minorities to kowtow to the government…” Poor Jeffery. Is voter Id only for minorities or for everybody? Strike one against J. So, you think kowtowing to the government that they distrust is not a good idea, as you assert? Ok, so you’re against my government kowtowing me, and you, into buying certain types of light bulbs, or how much gas mileage cars must get or.. a million other things they make us “kowtow” to everyday? One thing you are not, J, is consistent. Strike two, and three. “Conservatives don’t view most minorities as real Americans.” Drama Queen line of the week, with, as usual, nothing to back it up with. As with GW, J, assertions aren’t facts. But thanks for the off-topic 8th grade debate style deflection. And J, you still haven’t said why you think blacks would have a harder time voting than whites, not withstanding you rambling non-answer above.

  8. Jeffery says:

    j,

Thanks. Your critique of my comment means nothing to me.

You ask why closing polling places in black neighborhoods and cutting hours and early voting impacts blacks more than whites? Why does a 5 hr wait to vote dissuade more voters than a 20 minute wait? I don’t know, but it does.

Why are minorities less likely to have picture ID than whites? I don’t know, but it does.

  9. gitarcarver says:

You ask why closing polling places in black neighborhoods and cutting hours and early voting impacts blacks more than whites?

And yet you never give an answer to this question, do you? You simply make the statement that “it does” without any support, data or evidence to support your claim.

Why are minorities less likely to have picture ID than whites?

Except there is no evidence to support claim either.

Poor Jeffery ….. making stuff up as he goes along.

  10. Jeffery says:

I thought you understood the concept of a rhetorical question. My mistake for overestimating your intelligence.

  11. gitarcarver says:

My mistake for overestimating your intelligence.

My mistake in assuming that you would actually be concerned with truth and facts.

I keep thinking it is impossible to underestimate your morals, but you keep sinking lower.
