Israel Asks: What Would You Do?

For liberals, the answer would be a bit of navel gazing, wondering “what did we do to make Hamas send a constant rain of rockets which intentionally target civilians?” Remember, they took this tact almost immediately after 9/11.

(Washington Times) The official Twitter account for the Israeli Defense Forces on Monday sent out a picture of the London skyline being bombarded with missiles and the caption “What would you do?” as fighting continued in Gaza.

“Hamas terrorists just fired rockets at southern and central Israel. What if they were attacking your home?” reads the tweet, which is accompanied by a doctored image of incoming rockets and an explosion over the Houses of Parliament.

An IDF spokesman told The Telegraph the picture was crafted by the military’s “interactive media branch” to illustrate what Israel is going through as Hamas launches rockets at targets in the country.

“It’s an iconic image. When people look at the image they realize what country we’re talking about,” said Captain Eytan Buchman. “If a rocket landed near Westminster, it’s not a reality that any country could tolerate.”

James Clappison MP, the Parliamentary Chairman of Conservative Friends of Israel, supported the advert.

“For a long time rockets have been fired into Israel and that hasn’t been reported. We would not permit rockets to be fired at our country. We would take action.”

He added he wanted to see an end to the bloodshed but added: “This is Hamas’ choice. The ball is in their court.”

Obviously, the Typical Hamas Apologists did not like the tweet, and Blame Israel, showing their Israeli hatred and hatred of Jews. Hamas are the ones targeting civilians and surrounding their arms with human shields, including children, yet the Israel haters call Israel the terrorists and bad guys. It wasn’t Israel which tore down the 3,000 greenhouses in Gaza and turned it into a war camp.

    2 Israelis were killed by rockets before the invasion teach how many Palestinians should be killed?
    Israel has never tried to assist the Palestinians in developing a strong government without a strong stable government there will be no peace the killing of 500 75% of whom are civilians will further isolate Israel more Israelis are killed by lightning strikes than

    john believes that people must be killed in order for a group to protect themselves from the illegal and immoral aggression of people trying to kill them.

    John,
    I have been over there and have talked with both Arabs and Jews. Plus, I actually know the history of the area, which most don’t. The sum of things is that the Palestinians got a raw deal and do have a complaint and I would ordinarily be sympathetic to them. But then, they advocate indiscriminate violence and in my world view they need to be exterminated. The world has put up with their junk for about 60 years and it is spilling over into our well being, so the time is past to get the job done.

    John, that without a doubt has to be the dumbest post I’ve ever read. “2 Israelis were killed, how many Palestinians should be killed?” How ever many it takes to make sure 2 Israelis are never killed by rockets again. Wars are won by disproportionate responses.”Israel has never tried to assist the Palestinians in developing a strong government.” WTF? Why should they? That tends to happen when their whole purpose is your destruction. Anyway, all their aid money is spent on weapons. “Will further isolate Israel..” With panty waist Obama as president, they couldn’t be more isolated if they tried. The civilian deaths are due solely to Hamas’s actions. Don’t fire rockets, no civilian deaths. Even you should be able to understand that, John.

    Really John? Does it matter the number of killed, when day in and day out rockets are launched at cities and towns, sirens blare and Israelis must scramble to find their children and get them to cover. Is this how you would like to live your own life?
    Is it fair that Palestinians choose to hide their rockets in schools, hospitals and civilian homes and then cry foul if Israel tries to take out a launch site?
    BS John. The truth is this- if Palestine would cease firing those rockets, there would be peace. The truth is also that they do not want peace- they want the annihilation of Israel.
