    Bob Tisdale reports the current “sea ice pause”: Based on the linear trend, there has been no loss (or gain) in global sea ice extent for 178 months…almost 15 years.

    You supplied figure 1 by citizen-scientist Bob. Here’s figure 2 which shows the complete dataset and no pause.

    What Bob did is known as cherry-picking – search for an interval in the data that supports your claim.

    It’s what Teach and Load Monckton of Bitchley do with the temp data.
