Some will scoff. Some will send me e-mails full of expletives and hate. That’s normal. Some will become incensed as they rant and rail. But it is a fact. There is one interest group actively working against all efforts to prevent our planet from passing a threshold of dangerous climate change.
That interest group is money. Big money. The biggest money on the planet. The biggest money there ever was. Big oil. Big coal. Big stupid money. And the political party they long ago bought and paid for. Republicans. And their little sister, the Tea Party. They will do whatever big money asks. And I mean whatever.
Forget truth, science, morality, democracy, even Christianity. Big money and big power rules. And if you are a conservative, you must shrink your heart, kiss the ring and bow low.
On the other side are non-human life, the billions of powerless poor people across the planet and our precious children.
Yeah, nothing like the power and money of Government along with interest groups and non-governmental groups. Eh. You know the reality. Unless you’re a Warmist. Who complains about fossil fuels usage. By Other People.
It’s simply a typical “won’t someone please think of the children!!!!” argument designed to elicit feelings to deflect from hard facts in order to institute far left progressive policies.
Let me repeat.
Its simple. All your climate envirowhackos have to do is STOP….
JUST STOP using carbon fuels in every way. Ride your bike 25 miles to work. Stop buying food manufactured by fossil fuels.
Stop using the fossil fueled internet.
Stop using electricity and buy 50,000.00 worth of solar and wind alternatives for your house so you can run your toaster.
Just stop….ALL of you and these big companies…..everyone of them will DIE OFF.
The balls in your court….Just stop using fossil fueled created items and stop using fossil fuel fueled vehicles and stop eating food made, manufactured and marketed by a chain of fossil fuels.

Big oil doesn’t like additional government regulations, but, in the end, they pass the costs down to the consumers. Big coal worries about losing market share to natural gas, but that’s been happening anyway, due to fracking.
And who would win from the warmists’ regulations? Actually, my guess is that it would be the oil companies, because they are the ones who have the top energy experts and engineers, and they are the most probable sources of alternative energy development.
The left, of course, don’t understand any of that, because they are woefully ignorant of economics; if they actually understood economics, they wouldn’t be liberals anymore!

I know its fashionable to refer to them as liberals but they are today mostly progressives. Progressives got their start around the turn of the century. The progressive movement led to the communist revolution.
So you need to realize your dealing with pseudo communists. Sort of a hybrid between classical liberal and progressive which leads one far away from anything economic. I don’t really think that the labels mean much: whether liberals or progressives or Communists or socialists, they all proceed from the position that society has authority which trumps the rights of the individual. You’ll note that when I refer to the left, I always use the plural form.
Liberty is that quaint notion that unless you are infringing upon someone else’s rights, you may do as you please; the left wish to define that to include getting your electricity from a coal burning power plant!
