This is simply a veiled anti-gun screed pretending to be a news article
(Raleigh N&O) Often the target of U.S. human rights accusations, China wasted little time returning such charges following the shooting at a historic black church in South Carolina that left nine people dead. Elsewhere around the world, the attack renewed perceptions that Americans have too many guns and have yet to overcome racial tensions.
Some said the attack reinforced their reservations about personal security in the U.S. — particularly as a non-white foreigner — while others said they’d still feel safe if they were to visit.
Especially in Australia and northeast Asia, where firearms are strictly controlled and gun violence almost unheard of, many were baffled by the determination among many Americans to own guns despite repeated mass shootings, such as the 2012 tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, where a gunman killed 20 children and six adults.
“We don’t understand America’s need for guns,” said Philip Alpers, director of the University of Sydney’s GunPolicy.org project that compares gun laws across the world. “It is very puzzling for non-Americans.”
“The USA is completely out of step with the rest of the world. We’ve tightened our gun laws and have seen a reduction,” said Claire Taylor, the director of media and public relations at Gun Free South Africa.
Meanwhile, this same world doesn’t seem to concerned nor shocked over the continued spread of radical Islam, both the violent and non-violent versions. Including in Africa and Australia.
Ahmad Syafi’i Maarif, a prominent Indonesian intellectual and former leader of Muhammadiyah, one of the country’s largest Muslim organizations, said the church shooting shocked many.
Meanwhile, there have been over 26000 deadly jihad attacks since 9/11. 3277 were killed in May 2015.
Interestingly, the article fails to mention who is perpetrating a goodly chunk of the violence despite the small percentage of the population.
Racism ended with the institutional racism that was the law of the land, starting with the Black Laws enacted by the North. With the end of those laws in the 60’s, the government has done as much as it can to eliminate discrimination against blacks. Now, instead of creating an equal playing field, they started discrimination against whites in the form of affirmative action, also against Asians, Asians Indians and Latinos. The government can not changed the way that you think, which is often formulated by social pressures and life experiences, nor should they. I know that I see a considerable amount of racism every day. Only this racism is from blacks directed against just about any other group you can think of. I see racism exhibited by our great President and his wife. Then I watch Hillary and see the divide that she uses to try to get votes and momentum. All this leads to the inevitable killing that occurred one week ago. It has been postulated that we will have a race war here, in many ways I see that happening as I watch as people are brought into the ER and the news does not cover the reasons for the death and mutilation. I also know that most often these crimes are not reported and cataloged by the police. Jeff, John, you go one about the depredations against blacks, are you even aware of the crimes against whites for racial reasons? I think not. Not long ago a white male, married with a young family, a producer, was killed in our area while taking his trash to a local cycling area. The 16 year old black kids who shot him in the head, then put him in the trunk of the guys car and drove around with him to show their friends. They even took him to their school. I see no difference between this and the recent crimes. But it never made the paper or was treated as a hate crime, despite that kids indicating they wanted to kill a white man.
The US is not out of step with the rest of the world regarding guns. We’re below the world average on murder rate. We do have a much higher murder rate (3-5 fold higher) than any other advanced nation, but that may have more to do with our ghettos than our gun laws.
Jeffrey stuns me:
Finally, Jeffrey has said something with which I totally agree!
Facts are facts. Where we will disagree is why our ghettos are so violent.
Not sure we even disagree there; it’s more on the root causes behind those reasons.
Crab legs
All of the blacks are eating crab legs with their EBT cards
