Yes, switching up to American flag hotties for the rest of the week, going through next week. I think I’ve made the point with the Confederate flag.
All posts here are my views. None represent my employer. If ye can prove me wrong, so be it. Ye can rant and rave at me, but be mostly polite to any other commentors. I will put up with quite a bit, but be mostly respectful to others.

Confederate flags are being taken down removed everywhere. The rebel flag in SC at Fort Sumter is being removed

Don’t you think we should take down the American flag? After all, if you look at what the US has done before 1860 and certainly after, it is far worse that the moral outrage over what people think the Confederate flag represents.
Lets look at some things:
Where could a black man live in freedom with few restrictions on his abilities before 1860. Not the North by any means, in fact, he could not even live in many of the northern states and he certainly could not do business. But, in the South, a free man of color could live in all the states and was just about as free as a white woman of the time.
Which area had the greatest proportion of blacks in the middle class (that bracket that so concerns you). Again, the South, in fact, blacks almost constituted the entire middle class in some states. See above on how the North treated them.
Could a black man accumulate wealth in the North. Not likely, but in the South many owned plantations (one was Melrose, look it up). In fact, one of the first things that freed blacks did was to start accumulating slaves of their own.
Many observers of the time were amazed at the respect and acceptance that was shown to blacks in the South as opposed to the North in the early 1800’s.
Now, as I have said before, the KKK and other organizations of that type fly the US flag as much if not more than the Confederate.
It would seem to me that much of your anger and that of Jeff could be resolved if you would learn what was and critically assess what is. Both of you are really lacking.

I just noticed the news!!! Are you aware that there have been about 6 or more shark attacks since the Charleston murders?? I bet that is secondary to racist Southerners just like the church burnings.
