Whenever a Black is killed, harmed, shot, heck, even detained with force (because the person was resisting and/or aggressive, such as in the Texas pool incident), the Credentialed Liberal Media is quick to highlight that the cop was White. Or, in other instances, they’ll just make things up like calling George Zimmerman a “White Hispanic”. What of when a Black shoots a White police officer? Race is barely mentioned, like this CNN article
Memphis police identified 29-year-old Tremaine Wilbourn as the suspect in a weekend shooting of an officer.
Wilbourn is at large and considered armed and dangerous, Memphis Police Director Toney Armstrong told reporters late Sunday.
“You can be assured that we will continue to pursue this suspect, and we will exhaust all means until he is in custody,” he said.
Officer Sean Bolton, 33, was shot multiple times Saturday night. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition but later pronounced dead.
The article doesn’t mention that Bolton is White and Wilbourn is Black, though the accompanying pictures and video do show their race. Had the situation been reversed, their would be a harsh media and liberal (but, I repeat myself) outcry over a White cop shooting a Black man, even though Wilbourn has a long criminal rapsheet, including felonies.
Nor are most other media outlets highlighting race, as they’ve been doing in the reverse. The bias is immense.
So in 2011, black leaders got together to do something about it: Not stop the crime. Just stop reporters from letting us know about it.
Because it is a little-known fact of psychology that drawing attention to black crime actually causes more black crime — which draws more attention, which creates more crime. And on and on until black crime is six, ten, 50, 100 times greater than white and asian crime.
Where it is today.
“If the only information about black people is what’s in the news, there’s a reason why unemployment rate is astronomic and why we have all these negative issues — because the imaging of black people is extremely negative,” said Black Political Empowerment Project president Tim Stevens. “Not only does it affect the viewpoint of white people with their thoughts on black people, I say it affects the psychology of black people.â€
That quote comes from the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, one of the many members of the local media that were eager participants in the “media summit†to do fewer stories about black criminals.
The editors got the message: It was okay to do stories on black colleges, black churches, black history, black hospitals, black religion, black fraternities, black funeral homes, black radio, black activists, black groups and — above all, black victims of white racism. But black crime?
No.

As a free market capitalist Teach do you think that privately owned media corporations have any responsibilities other than to their shareholders?
Our press has the responsibility to report the news. To dig out the gunk and to let the people know what is going on.
The day a press corp started developing an agenda was the day we said it was OKAY for communists to run the Columbia School of Journalism. The day we said it was okay for professors to teach anti-anything…..because once that started then the kids learning were given a professors agenda and not the agenda of digging up the truth no matter the cost.
The MSM no longer exists in this country in an unbaised right/left fashion….every reporter, every paper now has an agenda……
And that is wrong…….and perhaps it might be because of stock holders but without stock holders there would be no press at all…..save that run by the government and I wonder if you would want George W. Bush running the press for you?
The real problem is that, like in so many other cases, the killer is an ex-con who was let out of prison early; Tremaine Wilbourn had been sentenced to 10 years in prison for armed robbery — a violent crime — but was out on “supervised release.”
If Mr Wilbourn had been kept in prison, where he should have been, Officer Bolton would almost certainly still be alive today.
Mr Glanton wrote:
While I am tempted to say that the media enjoys special privileges under the First Amendment, I agree with John: the media are responsible only to their shareholders.
And, before Al Gore invented the internet, the professional media had a monopoly on publication; nothing they didn’t want to be published was, and editors served as gatekeepers. Now, with a tremendous expansion in the professional media, started by Rush Limbaugh and continued by Fox, consumers have more choices — Fox is thriving, while left-wing MSNBC is spiraling toward its death — and the internet has opened up publication to anyone. It was the internet which exposed CBS’s lies concerning the Killian forged documents, which wouldn’t have been uncovered otherwise, and might have led to President Bush’s defeat in 2004 had the media’s bias not been exposed.
If it weren’t for Fox News and conservatives on the internet:
1 – George Zimmerman would have murdered Skittle-buying Trayvon Martin in cold blood, rather than having defended himself against an assault.
2 – Darren Wilson would have murdered gentle giant Michael Brown in cold blood, rather than having defended himself against a drugged-up thug.
3 – Brian Williams would be the brave-under-fire anchorman for NBC nightly News, rather than a disgraced — and perfect for MSNBC — liar.
4 – Hillary Clinton would have shown her bravery under fire at Kosovo.
5 – Crystal Mangum would be a real rape victim instead of a scumbag liar, and three Duke lacrosse players would be in jail now.
6 – “Jackie” would really have been raped at UVa, and a whole fraternity blamed, rather than Rolling Stone having to backtrack and give up on a false story.
