Good news: Warmists now know exactly what they need to pay for their carbon sins
This Map Shows Who Owes the Most for Burning All That Coal
When it comes to climate change, humans can rightfully claim responsibility for most of the warming the world has seen since the Industrial Revolution.
But should all people be equally responsible for the damage done?
Not according to Concordia University researcher Damon Matthews, who calculated which countries contribute the most to climate change and which nations emit the least but nonetheless are paying the price of global warming.
Live in Australia or the United States? You owe $10,000 to $12,000 for your carbon sins. Hail from India or Brazil? You’ve got about $2,000 worth of climate credit coming your way.
Of course, what this is really about is finding a way to have countries tax citizens and redistribute the money to other nations, rather than telling Warmists they need to reduce their own evil carbon pollution footprints. It’s all about the politics and cash.
Maybe they need to start with the residents of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Between all the campaigning, fund raising and trips to Hawaii he could pay enough to cover the national debt.
Teach what this is really about is decentralized power production
The giant power companies have already got you hooked up to their owner and do NOT want you to begin generating your own by solar or other renewables
No government to the best of my knowledge has yet to tax the power you produce yourself
The giant power companies like Dukewould hate to see you stop paying them every month
And they control politicians
Carbon burning is being phased out
Carbon sellers see their long term profits declining Do you see must cars burning carbon in 50 years ?
If there are any I see them being used only in the less developed countries
Can’t read the whole article, but I wonder if they included wood burning, cow dung, grass burning in their fossil fuels? Or did they just look at coal and petroleum consumption per capita? Also, did they discount the import/export of high energy production products? for instants; a net importer of steel should have that energy cost added to their consumption of fossil fuels and it deducted from the steel producer country. How about cross border sharing of electrical power? How about the production costs of petroleum versus export. Saudi Arabia has no steel production and uses considerable petroleum power to drill, pump, ship and pipeline oil. but use little for themselves. How does that export cost get shared. Who gets the cost of an oil tanker? — Saudi’s or importer country?
Another stupid statement from john.
By law, people who generate their own power can use it and in addition, connect ot to the grid as long as standards of the equipment is met. Such standards deal with safety issues (which is the type john likes to cite as being necessary any time someone says a law is unConstitutional.)
That may be true john, but the fact of the matter is that they should be phased out on the basis of the market and not mandates from the government. You yourself have said that no one would ever build a nuclear plant because of the regulations and the costs. People like you are constantly changing regulations on other types of energy plants.
Tell us all john how many windmills are in NYC? Tell us how many solar cells and solar farms there are? You love to tout NYC as being “green,” so has the city itself disconnected its citizens from the power grid which is supplied by nukes and coal plants?
Have YOU disconnected your life from burning carbon john?
Since you think that power companies own politicians, are you saying that your use of carbon based power means the companies own you?
Once again, you demonstrate that you are a hypocritical little troll and a miserable human being.
