It seems to be a big thing now for Leftist media fools to go into gun stores and purchase an “assault rifle” to prove how easy it is. It’s as easy as going into a Starbucks and ordering a cup of coffee, you guys!
(CBS News) In Virginia, where the Virginia Tech shootings killed 32 people, there is no waiting period for a firearm, even for a so-called assault rifle similar to those used in Orlando and San Bernardino, reports CBS News correspondent Kris Van Cleave. (WT: the VA shooter had two handguns, not a rifle)
CBS News sent a producer into a gun store in Alexandria, just outside of Washington D.C. Per Virginia law, she provided two items to prove state residency – a drivers license and voter ID card – as well as her passport to prove U.S. citizenship.
She filled out some federal and state forms requiring her name, date of birth, social security number and a few basic questions about any past criminal activity or current restraining orders. And she passed a brief electronic background check.
All told, it took 38 minutes and $1,030 for her to walk out of the store legally armed with a rifle, 100 rounds of ammunition and a 30-round magazine.
In other words, the National Instant Criminal Backgrounds Check System (NICS) worked. Did said producer think she would be turned down for something in her past? Or, is she just another law abiding citizen?
“Throughout most of America, you could go into a gun store and buy an AR-15, just like you’d go into a Starbucks and buy a cup of coffee,” said UCLA law professor Adam Winkler.
It’s been a long time since I wasted money buying Starbucks coffee, but, I doubt they have added background checks, have they? BTW, coffee is not a Constitutional Right. Oh, and just to make it fun
Correction: The assault rifle bought was AR-15 style, similar to the one used in Orlando mass shooting https://t.co/tLLE3gkq29

Except it wasn’t an AR-15. Great journalism there guys, you can’t even name the actual rifle purchased.
Completely do away with all AR style weapons and clips in America.
The result would be:
In addition foreign countries would simply replace American made AR weapons with AK-47 and we would still have Assault rifle mass murders in America. The only real difference is that the weapon of choice would change to a black market purchased ChiCOM Ak-47 with 30 round banana clip with absolutely NO CHECKS IN PLACE AT ALL versus a legally purchased AR with background checks in place and some government monitoring of said weapons.
These hacks really want to test the system? Find a convicted felon and have them try and purchase a firearm and report on how well that goes.
The gun manufactures would subvert this by simply putting wood stocks on the weapon and declaring it a hunting rifle, which is basically all it is, except not that accurate. I challenge this report as I am in the middle of gun country and you can’t find an AR 15. Then I recently purchased a hand gun, which was actually more powerful and faster than an AR, and it took at least 2 hours, tons of paper work and signing your life away, as well as my picture all over the store camera. As to gun shows, same process.
In the end, we have a Muslim problem, not a gun problem. They are doing the same thing they did with the Stars and Bars, no effort to get to the root of the problem, just blame some inert object that they don’t like. Lets register Muslims, observe mosques, stop Muslim immigration. In other words, make it tough to be a Muslim, just like they did with the KKK, Nazis and others. Then they might change their stupid religion.

But, but, but, you just can’t say that, and I heartily denounce your for it!
It took 38 minutes and $1,030 for her to by the rifle. How long and how much should it take? Did she have in mind a specified amount of time?
It took 38 minutes for the Saudis to buy Hillary Clinton to get F-15 style assault weapons.
It took 38 minutes for Algeria to buy Hillary to get loads of toxicological style weapons.
It took 38 minutes and $2.5M to buy Hillary for the Russians to take control of 1/5 of U.S. uranium mining assets.
You have commited a crime. The application
asked the question ” are you buying this gun for anyone else”?
How’s your reading comprehension? Where did anybody suggest buying a gun for someone else? BTW, you can buy a gun for someone else that’s how they’re gifted.
