As Milwaukee stews a blend of violence, Liberals keep telling us how racist and stuff the city is. Most conveniently forget to tell us something rather important. Jess Jackson is the latest become forgetful
Jesse Jackson: The shame of Milwaukee
Now it is Milwaukee. On Saturday, a car with two African-American men was stopped for “suspicion.†The men fled, the policeman pursued, and the driver, reportedly armed, was shot and killed.
And Milwaukee exploded. Angry crowds confronted police, set fires, threw rocks. At least half-dozen businesses — including a grocery store, a gas station and an auto parts shop — were robbed or destroyed. The Saturday shooting was part of a weekend filled with violence in Milwaukee. Five people were shot and killed overnight Friday.
Milwaukee law mandates an investigation of any police shooting. Immediately, focus goes to the harsh relations between police and the community. But to understand the reaction to the shooting, it is necessary to go much deeper.
The guy who was killed was a stone cold criminal. He was not a good guy. And, he was shot by a black officer. That part is forgotten, as well.
This city is “a powder keg,†Ald. Khalif Rainey told The Washington Post. “This entire community has sat back and witnessed how Milwaukee, Wis., has become the worst place to live for African-Americans in the entire country. Now this is a warning cry. … Do we continue — continue with the inequities, the injustice, the unemployment, the undereducation…? The black people of Milwaukee are tired. They’re tired of living under this oppression. This is their existence. This is their life. This is the life of their children.â€
An exaggeration? An excuse for rioters? Inflated rhetoric? Consider Milwaukee’s stark realities.
Milwaukee is the most segregated city in the United States. Black household income is the third lowest in the U.S. Its black poverty rate is the highest in the U.S.
These are figures presented in a haunting and damning 2015 report, “The Shame of Milwaukee: Race, Segregation and Inequality,†by Marc V. Levine of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
What’s missing? You can surely guess that the word “Democrat” is not in attendance. Democrats have run Milwaukee lock, stock, and barrel for over 100 years

What we have here is yet another example of a Democrat Party run city being racist and segregated, with a poor outlook for black people.
Milwaukee is not the worst. Black income has plummeted more in Cleveland and Detroit. School segregation is worse in New York and Chicago. Violence stalks the mean streets of impoverished urban neighborhoods across the country.
Why do so many Democratic Party run cities have so many problems with racism?
continue with the inequities, the injustice, the unemployment, the undereducation…?

I don’t know….just a thought.
How, exactly, did Milwaukee get in that condition? Wisconsin was never a slave state, so there’s no legacy of bondage there.
Only 6.3% of Wisconsin’s population is black, but Milwaukee was, in the 2010 census, 40.0% black. Clearly, as blacks moved into Wisconsin, they segregated themselves by congregating in Milwaukee, rather than settling more evenly across the state.
Wisconsin was only 5.0% black in the 1990 census, so it’s clear that blacks have been moving to Wisconsin in significant numbers since then.
Well, don’t forget, as blacks migrated north, Democrats were passing neighborhood covenants to keep blacks out. When those were ruled illegal and unconstitutional, the white Dems moved out to the suburbs as blacks moved into their neighborhoods. Then Dems enabled policies to keep blacks on the public dole while keeping them in those failing neighborhoods.

They be votin’ Hillary 2016
Could someone tell us which church is it, exactly, where the Reverend Jesse Jackson preaches, where he gets his money, and why he is always part of the problem and not the solution?Â
He preaches for the church of “What’s Happenin’ Now”, a mobile congregation of one that appears wherever money can be made off of racial strife. He gets most of his money from shaking down corporations under threat of law suit for discrimination or being picketed for not hiring enough “people of color”. (any color but white or yellow that is). As long as people like “The Rev” are tolerated by the left there will be no solutions. Which is exactly what they want. Keep people riled up and keep them voting D. Can I hear a Hallelujah?
Look up “redlining” and “blockbusting”.
Blacks did not migrate north and form ghettos independent of the actions of white citizens, white Dems and white Republicans.
from Jamelle Bouie:
Existing black neighborhoods were lined as unsafe, and thus ineligible for financing. For prospective property owner, this was terrible: Absent cash on hand, there was no way to afford a home or a business in your area. What’s more, blacks were all but barred from entering white neighborhoods, if not by restrictive racial covenants (which forbid property sales to African Americans and other minorities) then by violence and intimidation. In Chicago, for instance, anti-black riots were a regular part of public life. Here’s Arnold Hirsch, author of Making the Second Ghetto: Race and Housing in Chicago, 1940–1960:
On July 28, 1957, a crowd of 6,000 to 7,000 whites attacked 100 black picnickers who occupied a portion of the park that had previously been “reserved†for whites. Though blacks had used the park in the past, they were customarily restricted to certain portions of it. More than 500 police were needed to calm the area after two days of disturbances. On the first day alone at least forty-seven persons were injured and sixty to seventy cars stoned.

Being a minority does not make you noble or victimized and does not entitle you to anything. Get over it!
