Texas’ Transgender Bill Idiocy
Given North Carolina’s self-defeating legislative efforts to restrict where transgender people can use public bathrooms, it’s mind-boggling that politicians in other states would be tempted to go down a similar path. Yet, Texas Republicans opened a new front in the nation’s debate about transgender rights on Thursday, when Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick announced a bill that would require transgender people to use public restrooms in schools, government buildings and public universities that align with their “biological sex.â€
Oh, the horror! There are no actual penalties within the legislation, the actual idea here is limit Government from imposing requirements on both government and private entities that would force allowing TG people to use whichever bathroom, changing room, and shower (BCSR) they want. Which invades the privacy of citizens. Liberals always worry about women, well, what of when they are being exposed to penis in their historical safe spaces when they don’t want to be, because Government deems it?
Texas is not alone. Lawmakers in several states, including Alabama, South Carolina and Washington, have signaled their intention to introduce similar bills this year. Officials peddling these odious initiatives clearly don’t care that the measures are not only unconstitutional but unenforceable: Laws barring transgender people from using public restrooms that align with their gender identity could be enforced only if restroom users were subjected to intrusive inspections.
Do you know what’s odious? Forcing underage girls to have to share the BCSR with gender confused males, who shake their money makers and record them. Repeatedly. Let’s be honest, most will will respectful and just want to get on with their lives, causing no problems. It still doesn’t mean women should be forced to accept someone else’s life decision. Nor having to compete against men who are deluded to thinking they’re female, and doing better at sports than women.
Oh, and isn’t Washington a Democratic Party run state?
The Texas Association of Business last year commissioned a study about the impact a state law that discriminates against gay, bisexual and transgender people would have. Using the backlash from private industry set off by North Carolina’s law, known as HB2, as a gauge, the group concluded that Texas could lose as many as 185,000 jobs. A discriminatory law would also result in billions of dollars in lost tourism, canceled business investment and an almost certain decline in the state’s vibrant conventions business.
For all the caterwauling, how many businesses are willing to implement their own policies at their offices? To allow the gender confused in whatever bathroom they want? To spend the money to turn some bathrooms into multi-sex bathrooms? That’s the part of the debate that has been missing. There are plenty of smaller businesses here in NC which have their own policies. Many of them have single stall bathrooms which anyone can use. What of the big businesses? Is the NY Times Editorial Board good with men pretending they’re women so they can do things like attend women only classes at gyms and such? It’s easy to look at that “big picture”, not so easy when you look at the actual details.
When push comes to shove, people like their privacy. They do not want Social Justice Warriors forcing their wacky beliefs on them. Republicans do not want to have to pass these types of bills. If Leftists would stop pushing so hard, it wouldn’t even be an issue.

State level Republicans are working overtime to enact their pet laws in hopes that a new conservative Supreme Court will allow them to Make America Christian, Conservative and Caucasian Again.
“Right to work” bills, more abortion restrictions, Planned Parenthood defunding, voter ID laws… all to punish non-white, non-conservative, non-straight and reward the conservative donors.
They may overreach and create a voter backlash or they may succeed in suppressing enough likely Dem voters to consolidate the grip on America’s throat.
Let the red states discriminate against LGBT citizens and watch jobs move to blue states.

With the GOP in control they are going to repeal the ACA….then they will argue over any replacement that actually does anything…….Then in 2018 they will lose the house and the senate.
They will refuse to do anything with infrastructure.
They will refuse to do anything with the wall other then offer up a few token bucks.
They will allow some regulations to be repealed…..
They will vote for a tax cut.
They will do everything they can to play to their base….WHICH DID NOT ELECT MOST OF THEM…….angry democrats put a whole bunch of them back in power…..

I think for some this might be true….the reality is that cons hate regulations…..they hate being told what to do…..all this regulation, legislation and litigation turns the best of Cons into angry people who are sick and tired of the government telling them that a 1000 people get 20 billion dollars worth of infrastructure when our bridges are falling down and true unemployment is probably 16 percent.

White, Christian conservatives have just as much right to exist as any other ethnic groups and just as much right to hold majority status in the countries they founded as any other group in the countries they founded.
North America and the United States were conquered by, explored by, settled by, founded by, built by, expanded by and made into the most powerful, productive wealthiest and free nation in Human History by guys named George, John, James and Benjamin not Mohammad, Yomoto, Juan, Kunta Kinte or Chang. And George, John, James and Benjamin brought their Western Civilization, their culture, their Reformation, Enlightenment, art/music/literature and Protestant Ethic with them.
If you know of any other country that offers what we do that is not white, Christian and conservative I’d like to hear it. If it exists perhaps you’d be happier there if America is still too white, Christian and conservative for you.

Native Americans fought the invasion of English/Scots who subsequently fought the immigration of “sub-standard” Dutch, Germans, Chinese, Jews, French, Scandinavians, Irish, primitive catholics, Mexicans and Italians. African “immigrants” were welcomed since they were in chains and worked for free. Hundreds of thousands of Irish catholics immigrated to the US in the mid 1800s much to the consternation of the protestant majority.
Anyway, when unprivileged minorities demand equality, the favored majority views that equality as oppression. Hence, making room for non-christian religions is seen as an attack on christianity, and the Trumpitista whining about the oppression of the white man.

A few hundred thousand here and a few hundred thousand there and pretty soon you’re talking about real money. I would surmise that the reason California’s decline hasnt fully accelerated into a crisis is because of the 100,000 new illegals flooding the state each year…..This certainly offsets the number of businesses fleeing the state and keeps the population high.
Regardless of what Conservatives think….most illegals pay taxes….especially in California which has the 4th highest tax burden in the country….Even if they pay no income taxes….they still pay, sales tax and other taxes which is why California keeps raising their taxes over and over again…..
Toyota, Carls Jr. and other big name companies have fled to Texas….why Texas? Low tax burden along with NO STATE INCOME TAX fosters a refuge for businesses and individuals who love paying their bills, not the governments bills. It is the main reason why I lived in Texas for 3 decades now.
