You might have heard about this one as it was screamed from the rafters by Democrats, their base, CAIR, and the Credentialed News
(Washington Examiner)  Reporters are at it again – and again, and again and again.
The latest spun-up, anti-President Trump story involves Ibtihaj Muhammad, a New Jersey native who made headlines last year when she became the first female Muslim-American to win an Olympic medal for the United States.
Muhammad, a lifelong American citizen, claimed in an interview Tuesday that she was detained “just a few weeks ago” by U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents. She said she was held for a few hours without explanation.
Of course, the Media Industrial Complex didn’t report it that way. They simply ran with a soundbite from an interview in Popsugar, such as at this article on NJ.com (I hang out there a lot and converse under the name DevilUKnow. Been doing it since 2003 under different names. Used to have the best forums, till the formats were changed). The Examiner article by T. Becket Adams notes all the breatheless reporting by the media.Of course, none of the breathless articles, most of which attempted to link and/or Blame Trump, discussed the so-called “Muslim ban”, and yammered about Islamophobia, asked any basic journalistic questions
I’m wondering if any “news” outlet, such as this one, has asked her to provide proof of the allegation. You can bet if a Republican was making some sort of claim, the media would dig dig dig.
Myself and others asked. Well, days later, guess what?
The problem with this particular news cycle, however, is that the alleged detaining occurred in December, before Trump had even been sworn in as America’s 45th president.
Muhammad clarified several days after her Feb. 7 interview that she meant December 2016 when she said, “just a few weeks ago.”
She even tweeted that it occurred in December 2016, as is screen-captured in the Examiner article. Huh, Adams continues
First, it’s mind-boggling that no one thought to ask her for the exact date on which she was reportedly detained. It’s a basic duty of journalism to get the who, what, where, when, why and how to every story. That no one thought to pursue the “when” is astounding.
Secondly, Muhammad isn’t blameless in all of this. A less-than-charitable person would suspect her of being purposefully vague and imprecise. She was asked a simple “yes or no” question about the president’s immigration order. Instead of giving a simple answer, she provided an anecdote involving the very misleading use of “just a few weeks ago.”
And the media wonders why their credibility is low.
Yea, we can go ahead an assume this is all BS.
A muzzie lies again.
Moslems are supposed to lie to us. It’s their duty. Or haven’t you been told about it’s called taqiyya.

It is easy to blame all Muslims for this person’s distortion of the facts or at the very least allowed the distortion of what happened to be published.
To me, it is far more a condemnation of those in the media who hate others so much that they ran with perceptions and what they wanted to believe rather than the facts.
Some (most) of the articles cited in the Washington Examiner article do not appear to have gone back and corrected the story, issued an “update” or a “mea cupla” even though their reporting on the incident was false.
This is a “fake news” item and the media continues to go down the path of less and less credibility.
That’s exactly what I was going for. The media jumped on this story with both feet, and failed to do Journalism 101. You’d think they would have learned by now, but, typically, when the reality comes calling, everyone has moved on from the story, so the Credentialed Media can ignore.
“A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on.”
(Or “shoes on,” depending on what version you like. The principle is still the same.)
