Obviously, Democrats are going to have a big problem with this
(Politico) In a statement celebrating Women’s Health Week, President Donald Trump on Sunday called on improving health care access for “quality prenatal, maternal, and newborn care,” in addition to ensuring paid family leave for both mothers and fathers.
“Ensuring affordable, accessible, and quality health care is critical to improving women’s health and ensuring that it fits their priorities at any stage of life,” Trump said in his statement, issued on Mother’s Day.
And then he took shots at Obamacare
“Under the current health-care system, however, the lack of choice in health insurance and in health-care providers, along with skyrocketing premium and out-of-pocket costs, are failing our citizens, our families, and, in particular, our women.”
That’s the system that Democrats set up.
He also called for more paid maternity leave, which is a big push from his daughter Ivanka.
Under the House bill that was passed last month, the American Health Care Act, funding for Medicaid, which covers approximately 40 percent of pregnancies, would be slashed. In addition, federal funds for Planned Parenthood would be cut for a year. The bill would also prohibit the use of federal tax credits to buy insurance that includes coverage of abortion.
Apparently, in Liberal World, the only ones who can offer health services to women are Planned Parenthood. Even though their services are limited, and do not even include mammograms. Of course, in Liberal World, getting an abortion because people were irresponsible when having sex is considered a health service. And liberals consider abortion an “essential health benefit.”
Much like when George W. Bush was president, there’s literally nothing Trump can say, write, or do that won’t cause immediate moonbattery. The Politico article is rife with vulgarity and abuse, and Twitter isn’t much better. But, that’s the pro-killing the unborn world Liberals live in.
Crossed at Right Wing News.
We’ve learned not to listen to trumpy’s pronouncements, liar that he is. We’ll wait to see if the GOP really increases funding for women’s health. Right now their plans are to slash Medicaid, slash Planned Parenthood and slash NIH funding.
As we’ve learned, words are cheap with trumpy.
Do you really believe that the GOP will force the federal gov’t to make corporations enact maternal and paternal family leave? LOL.
N.B. – Do you really expect Planned Parenthood to support ALL women’s health issues, i.e., mammography? PP medical personnel counsel patients to see experts for complex and expensive needs such as mammography, cancer chemotherapy and cancer radiotherapy.
We get it. You oppose legal abortion and you want to keep women from obtaining them. You wish to make contraception more difficult. You hate women having sex on their own terms. You wish women were afraid to have sex except under your terms.
Jeff,
Perhaps you can explain why PP needs to be funded when women now have full insurance coverage under Obamacare. That seems to be double dipping. And note that in my state there are only two PP clinics and those are in the lower part of the state, yet women get full health coverage and are not lacking. Also, why should we fund and organization that give a substantial amount of money to the Dem party? That is tax payer money.
The poo flinging little monkey guy has awakened.

No. It’s not “double dipping”. Millions of the poor are covered by ObamaCare under the Medicaid expansion. Many pregnant women were already covered under previous programs. Furthermore, Planned Parenthood is one of the few providers who set up shop in many poor neighborhoods.
Z,
No, that is not right. Much of my practice has always been poor and never invoked any aspect of pp.
Are you saying you provided Medicaid or free medical care to millions of poor people. The plural of anecdote is not data.
Your claim concerned double-dipping, that is, Planned Parenthood is being paid by Medicaid to provide care, and that they are also being paid by ObamaCare. ObamaCare includes a Medicaid expansion. Planned Parenthood receives reimbursement from Medicaid for provided care.
