John McCain Dead At Age 81, CNN Provides Possibly The Dumbest Headline

Love him or hate him, John McCain had a tremendous impact on U.S. politics. It wasn’t long after McCain announced that he would no longer be taking treatment for his brain cancer that he passed on. And there are some serious hot-takes. Here’s CNN running with one my anti-favorites

Trump breaks silence on McCain, tweeting his ‘deepest sympathies and respect’

President Donald Trump broke his closely watched silence on Sen. John McCain, tweeting his “deepest sympathies and respect” to the family of the senator after his death was announced on Saturday night.

“My deepest sympathies and respect go out to the family of Senator John McCain. Our hearts and prayers are with you!” Trump tweeted.

Prior to his tweet, Trump had not publicly acknowledged the rapidly declining health of McCain after his family announced Friday he would be discontinuing treatment for his brain cancer.

In an email, White House press secretary Sarah Sanders forwarded the President’s tweet to reporters. First lady Melania Trump also tweeted, “Our thoughts, prayers and deepest sympathy to the McCain Family. Thank you Senator McCain for your service to the nation.”

This whole “breaking silence” thing is absurd. Like people have to tell the media everything, otherwise, they’re being “silent”. Maybe they just didn’t have something to say to media ghouls?

There are also many, many bad takes, such as

Mama always said if you don’t have something nice to say don’t say anything at all.

  1. Jeffery says:

    Rest in Peace, Senator.

John McCain spent his life in service to the nation, for which we should all be grateful.

The Senator was an honorable conservative.

  2. Jeffery says:

FOX had to block comments on its YouTube videos because of awful comments about Senator McCain.

Commenters here seem quiet concerning this conservative American hero.

At least Mrs. Trump said something nice about the Senator: Thank you Senator McCain for your service to the nation.

It must stick in tRump’s craw that Senator McCain is admired by so many and tRump isn’t.

    Aw… tRumpitista…

Kelli Ward, wondered on Facebook whether the McCain family’s announcement (to end treatment) was a ploy to distract attention from her campaign. “I think they wanted to have a particular narrative that they hope is negative to me,” she wrote.

Another candidate, Joe Arpaio, the criminal sheriff whom President Trump pardoned last year, attacked Cindy McCain on Twitter Friday night. “I tweeted out my thoughts & prayers for @SenJohnMcCain and @cindymccain BLOCKS me on twitter?” he tweeted, tagging President Trump.

Both Ward and Arpaio are running for the seat on the strength of their devotion to Trump.

Their other opponent, Rep. Martha McSally, was more tactful. “John McCain was one of Arizona’s greatest Senators, one of our country’s finest statesmen, and an American hero who risked his life to defend this great nation,” she tweeted. “He loved this state, and he loved this country.”

  4. Jeffery says:

So why does the far-right, white nationalists hate Senator John McCain?

    • Obama's boyfriend says:

Everybody hated him but far left, white hating communist, soyboys, and perverts who like to wear women’s panties.

      • Jeffery says:

        Boyfriend,

Congratulations on admitting to your homosexuality, it’s a big step.

There was quite an outpouring of grief and support for Senator McCain. I’m surprised Trump hasn’t already tweeted that his funeral was bigger, LOL.

It seems the only people who hated him were those few that love tRump.
