Tolerance: Student Forced To Remove Patriotic Trump Jersey

Over the past 10 years we’ve seen teachers go ga-ga over Barack Obama. They’ve had kids sing odes to him, they’ve named schools after him, they’ve worshiped him. Schools have gone loony in openly supporting the Leftist agenda in tons of ways. But, supporting duly and Constitutionally elected President Donald Trump quietly?

Harnett school principal forces student to remove Trump jersey at patriotic-themed football game

Mike Collins is disappointed about how he says his 18-year-old son was treated during a high school football game after wearing a jersey printed with President Donald Trump’s name.

“I think any mother or father would feel like I feel,” stated Collins.

The theme during Harnett Central High School’s football game Friday was to dress patriotically for USA America night.

Collins says his son chose to wear the jersey, which was given to him as a gift by a family friend.

Mike wasn’t accused of doing anything other than simply wearing the jersey. He wasn’t creating a scene, there’s no accusations of impropriety.

The Harnett County school district spokeswoman Natalie Ferrell said in a statement “While we cannot comment on specific student issues, the Harnett County Schools supports and affirms students’ rights to express themselves. As long as the expression does not disrupt, and is not reasonably expected to disrupt, the educational mission of the school system, these rights include wearing clothing expressing political messages or supporting political candidates.”

In other words this was the Heckler’s Veto, whereby Mike’s 1st Amendment rights were shut down because a few in attendance, mostly likely led by the school staff, were having a tizzy.

The dad says he’s not planning any legal action, but, did consult an attorney, and the school board did proclaim that they’d make it right. Well, should have done the proper thing in the first place. Especially in a county which went 60.7% for Trump in 2016.
