Not elitist in the least
(Fox News) Sen. Mazie Hirono, D-Hawaii, on Tuesday told a conference that she heard one of the reasons that her party has a difficult time connecting with voters is because Democrats know so much, and have a tendency of appealing to voters’ minds instead of their hearts.
Hirono made the comment at a conference in Washington, D.C. She was asked by the moderator about ways Democrats could drive voter turnout.
“I wish I had the answer to that because one of the things that we, Democrats, have a really hard time is connecting to people’s hearts instead of [their heads],” Hirono said. “We’re really good at shoving out all the information that touch people here [pointing to her head] but not here [pointing to her heart].”
Hirono, 71, said Democrats need to stop speaking in a way that comes off as manipulative or strokes fear and resentment.
“But we have a really hard time doing that and one of the reasons– it was told to me at one of our retreats– was that we Democrats know so much, that is true. And we have kind of have to tell everyone how smart we are and so we have a tendency to be very left brain,” she continued.
Well, she is correct on one thing, in that Democrats are uber-manipulative and stoke fear and resentment. But, if she thinks that this type of elitist claptrap will help in an age where the average voter are demanding to be heard over the elites, she has another thing coming.
Right here. This is the first in a billion one liners that the LEFT who now has power will have to defend in 2020.
Additionally I’m calling it right now. Beto O’Rourke will be the Dem’s darling, Obama wannabe and their nominee to go against whomever is left standing after the Muelller Witch hunt is over.
Now that the tRumpublicans have become victims, anything said by Dems will be used against them.
Senator Hirono was criticizing her own party for ignoring the feelings of voters and only trying to appeal with facts and reason. The GOP has proven that appeals to fear, resentment and emotion works.

4. A couple days ago every state in the nation had at least one temperature reading that was below ZERO. Global warming of course. It couldn’t be because of the approaching Grand Solar MINIMUM or greatly reduced sunspot cycles or the fact the earth is constantly moving away from the sun applying the inverse square rule.
5. Europe is on the verge of Anarchy. Any bets George Soros is actively funding this? Nationalism is running rampant in the EU now.
6. The UN is set to vote on Immigration as a human right which can force nations to take any immigrant no matter the reason into their nation because the UN says so. Hello Big Brother.
on and on it goes. The world is burning and civilization is on the verge of collapse. I predicted this in 2003 when the internet started rolling and political activist blogs and websites started springing up by the 1000’s daily.
No one can talk to anyone anymore. The world is fixing to burn and when food shortages start, the left wants to make sure all those who live on food growing Land HAVE NO GUNS.
And working class whites are beginning to see that their votes for tRump is doing them more harm than good. He is not draining the swamp but refilling it. His tax cuts benefit the wealthy much more than the working classes. His economic “policy” is starting to harm the economy.
GOPhers will always twist the words to their advantage because their policies attack the actual voters they rely on. When working class white people start putting their own needs ahead of the fear generated in them by GOPhers, the GOP will be in trouble. Abortion, immigration, guns drive the con voters who keep voting against their own interests.
Just once, a Republican needs to deliver on the promise of making life better for the working classes.

He did what the Demos did in CA, and AFAIK charges have yet to be filed. Be a shame if all those ballot harvested Demos in Orange County lost their seats after it went through the courts.
But the only vote fraud arrests I’ve heard have been the 7 Democrats in TX and the 9 Democrats in FL.
The Beast may have received more votes, but the fraudulent ones don’t count and those 435 House races have nothing to do with aggregate totals.
BTW, are we counting all the fake votes again? The tens of thousands in Broward County alone would knock the Demo’s vaunted totals into a cocked hat.

Although it’s against the law for non-citizens to vote in Texas, Ortega registered to vote in 2002 as a Republican and then cast ballots multiple times over more than a decade.
She even voted for the prosecutor sending her to prison (8 years).
