Hey, Democrats, you own this anti-Israel and anti-Jew behavior, since you mostly refuse to shut it down. Notice that Ilhan isn’t calling for reconsidering aid to the Palestinians, who just banned LGBTQ groups in the West Bank, nor to nations with hardcore Islamists.
Omar says US should reconsider aid to Israel
Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) said Monday that U.S. aid to Israel should be tied to its treatment of Palestinians, questioning whether the funds should continue after the country blocked her and Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) from visiting in an official capacity.
Omar had planned to travel with Tlaib to Israel this month until the Israeli government announced last week that it would deny them both entry, citing their past criticism.
Omar and Tlaib, the first two Muslim women elected to Congress, held a joint press conference on Monday to denounce that decision, which came after President Trump tweeted that it would show “great weakness” for Israel to allow the two lawmakers into the country.
Omar suggested that lawmakers reconsider the annual U.S. aid allocated to Israel in response.
“We give Israel more than $3 [billion] in aid every year. This is predicated on them being an important ally in the region and the only democracy in the Middle East. But denying a visit to duly elected members of Congress is not consistent with being an ally, and denying millions of people freedom of movement or expression or self-determination is not consistent with being a democracy,” Omar said at the press conference in St. Paul, Minn.
You’d almost want to assign the waaaaa-mbulance to her, because she got her feewings hurt, but, let’s be real, she despises Jews and Israel, and she was banned due to that. Neither she nor fellow Jew hater Rashida Tlaib have said just why they were banned, which is their belief in the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement, which was founded on and based on the destruction of Israel as a nation, and rests on a bed of Jew hatred.

Other Dems have decided to stroll down this road
Mark Pocan (D-Wis), a co-chairman of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, also said that lawmakers should reconsider visits and aid to Israel in response.
“No more members of Congress, no delegations, should be going to Israel unless this decision is reversed. And I think we’re going to have to have some serious conversations even about financial support,” Pocan told The Hill.
Democrats can yammer all they want about raaaaacism and white nationalism, but, they are owning the generic anti-Semitism, which is simply hatred of Jewish people.
I’d be perfectly willing to end all foreign aid to Israel . . . if we ended all foreign aid, period.
I think she is onto something. The USA should stop being the piggy bank for other countries to smash whenever they need a new toy.
In the case of Israel, it’s been a good investment, but it does show the Lefty mind.
Throw enough money at anybody and you own them.
It is fair to argue if it has been a good investment. But more importantly, it is even more fair to question if it is still a good investment. Of maybe, we should adjust the dollar amount to be more in line with what we get back. We call that “trade”. Oddly enough, the USA doesn’t have to give huge amounts of money to our other allies for them to be our friends.
No foreign aid….Period!
Including military assistance, the US spends less than 1.5% of it’s annual budget on foreign aid.
Care to provide a link?
That’s rich coming from you, linkless. Look it up. It’s easy. “percentage of federal spending is foreign aid”
Most Americans think foreign aid is much bigger part of the budget than it really is. 28% being average.
I still don’t see a link.
It doesn’t matter if the US only spends $5 on foreign aid we shouldn’t spend anything. We should pump that money into non-sanctuary cities to fortify our sovereignty, non sanctuary states in the form of infrastructure and the rest use to ship all illegal aliens TO sanctuary cities and states. Let them put their money where their mouths are.
Kye,
Without muddying the waters with alternative realities, the right question to ask with any government expenditure is: Are we the American taxpayers getting anything of value in exchange for that expense and is the trade worth it. It is a very reasonable argument to make that money we pay because of treaties we signed during the Nixon administration, may benefit from occasional re-examination. I personally doubt that there are any Cold War policies that are still relevant in modern America. That includes our asylum policies, foreign aid, Radio Free America, and about 2/3rds of the Defense Department.
