Happy Sunday! Another gorgeous day in America! The Sun is shining, the birds are signing, and the NHL is back. My NJ Devils had a good start. Just 2 games, and overtime loss and an OT win, but, they played the Bruins, who are one of the top 5 teams in the league. BTW, I’m giving NHL.tv a whirl, and I like it better than Center Ice. A crowd-free swearing-in is a fitting Inauguration for a guy who waved to empty fields and campaigned in front of a dozen of empty chairs set inside giant white circles.
In that respect the brief riot at the Capitol was manna from heaven for Team Biden. Now they have a built-in excuse for a non-attended, unenthusiastic Inauguration.
There won’t be that awkward moment of having to explain why none of the supposed 80 million voters showed up. And the “We had to keep Biden safe from marauding White Supremacist Insurrectionists†excuse works way better than the “We had to because of COVID!†excuse.
That’s in part because the “marauding White Supremacist Insurrectionists†excuse makes Biden look like a victim. And we all know how important Victimhood is to the Left. More importantly, it makes anyone who didn’t vote for Biden look like a monster.
And what more fitting Inauguration can there be for a man who zoomed in his campaign than a virtual one? I don’t know if they worked out all the painfully embarrassing kinks they experienced during their “virtual†convention.
And I will never know because I won’t be watching.
I have no interest in watching the weeklong “virtual†Inauguration with gushing celebrities engaging in pre-written “off-the-cuff†banter. And I certainly don’t need to watch near-tears cable news personalities prattle on about how “historic†and “transformative†the near-octogenarian and his mocha-colored BJ of a sidekick are.
I won’t plug in to this simulation.

If progressives were honest and straightforward, they would be forced to state that they are radical environmentalists and socialists who want government to control the economy and equalize wages; who want socialized medicine for all; who think religious expression should be outlawed; who believe in a universal guaranteed income; who want to outlaw the use of fossil fuels; who want to expand affirmative action putting blacks and Hispanics farther ahead of whites; who believe that any reference to biological sex should be outlawed; who believe that America should be not a global superpower, but merely one nation among others; who believe that abortion at any stage is a universal right; who believe that American aid should go to the Palestinians and not to Israel; and so on.
President Trump clearly stated his own beliefs on a thousand occasions — President Biden should do so as well, but he won’t. He uses the Orwellian tactic of disguising his beliefs in gibberish, and this is not because he’s going daft, as he well may be. He’ll speak of “expanding Obamacare” rather than socialized medicine. He’ll talk of “defense partnerships” rather than abandoning control of our military. And on the environment, it’s not even possible to tell what he wants, but he wants $400 billion to do it. Once again, “the defense of the indefensible.”
The coordinated effort to impeach and convict the president is nothing less than a propaganda campaign, and the associated suppression of free speech on social media and elsewhere is the beginning of a dangerous national decline. It’s not possible to say where it will end, but we must be entirely clear about what is happening. A progressive government will attempt to further limit free speech, assembly, religious expression, gun rights, access to employment, and other basic liberties. Progressives have already threatened conservatives with prosecution and imprisonment for the “crime” of denying anthropogenic global warming and for questioning the result of the 2020 election. What’s next? The persecution of every American conservative in the same way that Gen. Flynn was persecuted?
It’s a fine line between federal prison here in America and Dachau in Germany, and one can transform into the other in a matter of weeks. It did so in Germany in 1933, just five weeks after Hitler became chancellor. Don’t think it can’t happen here. It begins with “the defense of the indefensible” — and that is already well underway.

Trump rarely stated anything clearly. He sought always to appeal to the lowest common denominator whether as a racist, sexist, anti-immigrant, Islamophobe. Jan 6 he incited a mob to attack the US Capitol Building hoping to overturn the election (he failed). His legacy: Over 400,000 dead Americans, severe recession, divided citizenry, record debt. He will spend his last remaining years trying to persuade historians that James Buchanan, Andrew Johnson and Warren G. Harding were worse Presidents.
These days, there is much to fear. Usurpers have captured the federal government of these United States. Their intentions, as far as we can know them, amount to shredding the Constitution de facto and ruling by force alone. Naked power lust undergirds everything they do and have done. Anyone who dares to criticize them is their blood enemy, whom they will destroy if they can.
But there is this as well: THEY FEAR US!
In the days leading up to the Biden inaugural, the nation’s capital has been turned into an occupied military zone like Baghdad. Armed 30,000 troops authorized to use (or are they PLANNING to use?) lethal force are manning checkpoints to enter and leave downtown Washington, D.C. Green Zone and Red Zone perimeters have been established. Several bridges into the city from neighboring Virginia are scheduled to be closed next week for the inaugural.

You don’t need 30,000 armed National Guard troops to protect an inauguration, and you certainly don’t need that and more to protect a mostly virtual inauguration.
Garrisoning the city in advance of a “mostly virtual inauguration†certainly seems like a fear-driven action. But fear of what?
There are some possibilities. One is that this is a deliberate overreaction as a show of force to deter anyone even thinking about causing a problem. In a rational world, given the Capitol Hill riot, that would be an obvious explanation.
But this massive military show of force smacks of protecting against a threat that has not yet been disclosed publicly. They seem to be planning against a military mutiny. That’s how it feels.
NOTHING SAYS DEMOCRACY LIKE NEEDING 30,000 SOLDIERS TO “INSTALL” A NEW REGIME.
When your nation’s capital is transformed from a relatively ordinary urban zone to a walled, fortified citadel, you no longer live in anything resembling a representative republic. We may justifiably fear what they have in mind – and history speaks eloquently of what tyrants do with the power they seize. This garrisoning of Washington screams that the Usurpers fear the very people they claim the authority to rule.
We can use that.
Keeping the Usurpers in a state of fear might help to impede their plans. Festung (Means FORTRESS in German Elroy & Hairy) Washington, though established to exclude us, can also be used to confine them. After all, they and their bureaucrats can’t go everywhere surrounded by a military guard. There simply aren’t enough soldiers to do so. American patriots are ubiquitous – and we constitute a soldiery of our own.
So we must keep the Usurpers in fear. We must repeat mercilessly that we know the 2020 election was stolen. We must publicize the evidence of their crimes at every opportunity. We must emphasize that we intend to resist their ukases.
We must make every Usurper fear to leave Festung Washington. Then give them a reason to.
The insurrectionists were repelled. Joseph Biden and Kamala Harris won the election. The Dems lost ground in the House, and thanks to Trump, GA send a Jewish man and a Black man to the Senate.
Since the Clinton days, white reactionary conservatives consider all Democrats to be usurpers. “You” guys are entitled to rule! It’s what the Founding Fathers envisioned!
