Per the US and North Carolina Constitutions, once you engage in arson and graffiti it is no longer peaceable. It wasn’t a riot, but, it wasn’t peaceful
Protests took place Friday night in many locations around the Triangle as many voiced their displeasure after recent acts of violence toward people of color around the country.
Protestors are fueled by the outrage of recent police shootings that resulted in the deaths of minorities, including 20-year-old Daunte Wright and 13-year-old Adam Toledo.
Wright was fatally shot by police officer Kimberly Potter during a traffic stop in Brooklyn Center, Minn. Potter claims she meant to use her taser instead of her gun.
Toledo, a seventh grader, was shot by Chicago Police on March 29, but the bodycam footage of the shooting wasn’t revealed until Thursday.
Wright was a tragic accident, and the officer has been charged with 2nd degree manslaughter. No mention that Wright had a warrant for his arrest for felonies, nor that he failed to comply after being pulled for being dumb enough to drive with expired tags. Prosecutors in Chicago are saying the shooting of Adam was lawful, a split second decision. No mention of Adam being out at 230am Monday morning, hanging with a 21 year old shooting his gun, then taking the gun and running when police showed up, in an area know for gangs, particularly the Latin Kings.
Crowds gathered in downtown Durham around 7:30 p.m. A large crowd began at the Durham County Courthouse, then made its way to the Durham Police Department headquarters.
Graffiti could be seen on multiple surfaces, with clear messages aimed at authority.
Such nice people. There were plenty of Anarchy symbols, one pictured at the link. Which means Antifa is around. Which means it could get much worse Saturday.
WRAL’s Rosalia Fodera reports that protestors were burning an American flag, while firecrackers could be heard going off near the Durham Police Department building, as well.
Durham protestors could be heard chanting, “Justice for Daunte Wright.” Additionally, some protestors egged buildings, and tore down barriers outside of restaurants, including Durham staple, Copa.
What did the Durham police do? How about those restaurants? The cop in the Wright case is going to go to trial. Let that happen. Or, are they calling for mob justice? If anything WRAL minimized the damage
(CBS17) Protesters in Durham Friday night set a small fire outside the city’s police department headquarters and caused damage at some businesses downtown.
There appeared to be several dozen protesters who lit the fire around 8:45 p.m. Some doors and windows at businesses were shattered by the protesters, which also included members of the group NC Born, according to a tweet by that organization.
Several businesses along Mangum Street had windows broken along with some graffiti spray-painted on the buildings. Trash cans and barriers were thrown into businesses to break the glass.
An U.S. flag was also burned and fireworks were lit during the protests. The sign for the Durham police department was also defaced with graffiti.
At one point, the protesters even approached people dining out at a downtown restaurant.
Elizabeth Turnbull, the owner of the Copa restaurant, said the protesters “broke down some of the barricades — the traffic barrier that we have for outdoor dining — threw some drinks and broke some glass — minor vandalism for us. But it was very scary for the guests.â€
And where were the police in protecting property and citizens just trying to have a meal? They were apparently allowed to menaced by the mob.
There appeared to be about 100 protesters, who also said they were there because of the death of “Jaida,†apparently in reference to Jaida Petersen, a North Carolina transgender woman who was murdered this week.
Remi Fennel and Jaida Petersen were the two Black transgender women who were shot. Police say Joel Brewer, 33, and Dontarius Long, 21, were the men who murdered them.
Nothing for Remi? BTW, both of the killers are black.
The protesters also took rental e-scooters and placed them across at least one street.
That would be called “theft.”
In Raleigh the protests were small and protests, no violence reported, though businesses did board up. The mayor said she would not announce a curfew. We’ll see if that’s a mistake come tonight.
This is what happens when nobody will tell the truth! When CBS17.com tells you that the two alleged murderers “solicited sex” from the two
males masquerading as women“transgender women,” it doesn’t tell you that the twomales masquerading as women“transgender women” were working as prostitutes, that the alleged killers — who were probably drunk or stoned at the time — thought that they were going to get sex from actual women, and flew into a blind rage when they found out that the chicks had dicks. Now, I don’t know the details of these two cases specifically, but that’s the trend that has been happening. When you read that “transgender women of color” are the most frequent victims, at least some of those stories mention that they were “sex workers,” and that tells you just what you need to know: normal men, albeit usually intoxicated ones, looking for sex from normal women, get tricked — pun most definitely intended — and find out, to their horror, that they just got fellated by another
manmale. If you have sex with someone who has completely misrepresented himself, someone with whom you would never have chosen to have sex if you had known the truth, you have been raped!
A violent reaction to being raped is completely normal. Murder might be an overreaction, and the accused might wind up spending a long time in jail — it’s difficult to have much sympathy for probably intoxicated men seeking out prostitutes — but a violent reaction is very understandable.
The credentialed media won’t tell you that part, of course, because it is wholly politically incorrect, even though it is also wholly truthful.
Mx Dana continues his fascinating imaginings regarding gay and trans sex. Jaida Peterson, 29, was found dead Easter Sunday and Remy Fennell, 28, last Wednesday.
Dana: Now, I don’t know the details of these two cases specifically
The alleged murderers were each charged with two (2) counts of murder, two (2) counts of firearm by a felon, one count of robbery with a dangerous weapon and one count of conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Lt. Brian Crum stated the two alleged murderers were working together. Does Mx Dana really believe two men who knew each other, got drunk together two weeks apart, discovered their “dates” were transgendered, became enraged and murdered the women?? We suppose coincidences are possible. In fact, Mx Dana accuses the dead women of raping the poor alleged murderers!

In the fevered brains of those like Mx Dana, who could be more worthless than a Black, trans prostitute. He even defends the Black men who murder them.
In his world, a man can be considered “normal” getting intoxicated, engaging a prostitute, robbing and murdering her if she’s not to his liking. Is that really normal?
Rimjob, you are sick and getting more so every day since Joey stole the election.
Seek help.
Bwaha! Lolgf
The prolific Mx Dana has no defense of his defense of the murderers.
The chosen lifestyle of black men posing as women sex workers is a dangerous one. If only prostitution in Charlotte were illegal, these two men might still be alive. They would certainty be alive if murder were banned. NC lawmakers are asleep at the switch. Is is way past time for common sense murder control. How many more gay male prostitutes wearing dresses in black neighborhoods need to die before this gets taken seriously?
“The similarities between the two killings had initially prompted them to urge the city’s LGBTQ community, particularly those who engage in sex work, to be extra cautious and vigilant.”
Wait. So the city is telling high risk sex traffickers to be “extra careful”? Great. Maybe the city should remind them to use condoms and wear masks too.
