If someone doesn’t want to get vaccinated for whatever reason, that’s on them. If they want to take the risk, that’s on them. Same with masking (BTW, in areas and businesses where you don’t have to wear one, what’s the point of voluntarily wearing one but leaving your nose uncovered?) and social distancing and washing hands. That’s on them. Myself and several others at work are still on the “stay back, don’t touch me” bandwagon even though we are vaccinated, part of which is to avoid colds and the flu. Biden’s COVID warning: Unvaccinated ‘will end up paying the price’
President Biden highlighted on Monday that for the first time since the coronavirus pandemic swept the nation early last year, cases of COVID-19 “are down in all 50 states.”
But in a pitch to encourage unvaccinated Americans to get their shots, the president warned that “those who are not vaccinated will end up paying the price.”
And Biden, in remarks from the White House, also announced that the U.S. will share millions more doses of coronavirus vaccines with other countries around the world.
The president highlighted that “deaths are down from COVID by 81%,” which he said was “their lowest level since April of 2020.”
But he cautioned that “I can’t promise that will continue this way. We know there will be advances and setbacks and we know that may flareups could occur. But if the unvaccinated get vaccinated, they’ll protect themselves and other unvaccinated people around them.”
And the president warned that “if they do not, states with low vaccination rates may see those rates, may see this progress, reversed. Ultimately, those who are not vaccinated will end up paying the price. The vaccinated will continue to be protected against severe illnesses, but others may not be if you’re not vaccinated.”
Nothing like a few threats to make people feel good.

The CDC Inadvertently Outs the Mask Cult
When the Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced that fully vaccinated people can safely participate in both indoor and outdoor activities without wearing face masks, it was good news for most Americans. In addition to a sense of vindication for those of us who object to post-vaccination masking, CDC Director Rochelle Walensky’s statement provided another much-needed service — it forced the metastasizing mask cult to reveal itself as a coalition of anti-science zealots and petty tyrants. A typical example of their collective response to the CDC guidance appeared in the Washington Post under the title, “The CDC shouldn’t have removed restrictions without requiring proof of vaccination.â€

I suspect that the @POTUS and @VP tweets aren’t from the President and Vice President themselves, but by some staffer (staffers?) who never read Dale Carnegie’s How to Win Friends and Influence People. There have been so many tweets recently about the China Virus that have sounded like they were all written by the same person, and that person does not understand that a simple “please” in the tweets would have made them far more palatable.
Think just how “those who are not vaccinated will end up paying the price” might have sounded if it had been “those who are not vaccinated could end up paying the price.”
The left just don’t seem to understand how asking people to do something can get them a lot more cooperation and good will than telling people to do something.
After way too much reading on all the various vaccines, I think the ones made from deactivated virus are probably best of the choices available right now. But wait, there’s more!
There is another one in the works though, that may be the safest yet. Now that it turns out that even just the spike proteins alone can cause damage once they’re in your body, vaccines that are based on them alone seem rather dangerous to me.
But the good news is that, out at the end of the spike, is a thing called the receptor binding domain (RBD), which is either “open” or “closed”. When closed, that particular spike can’t infect you by hooking up to an ACE-2 receptor site. Oddly, the “open” position is more like a protuberance, a tiny little bit that sticks out. An erection. And there is a vaccine in the works that just supplies the RBDs, without any of rest of the spike protein. So no damage (the spikes can cause ARDS, a bad lung ailment), but the RBD is enough for your body to build antibodies against, which will work when the actual virus comes along with actual spike proteins on it. Yeah, the naughty snark is obvious: getting an injection of this vax would be putting just the tip in.
Running with a similar sexual metaphor, an antibody called BG10-19 has been found that blankets the RBD, effectively keeping it in the closed position. As part of a monoclonal antibody mix, this actual microscopic condom would be like an anti-viagra, and (wait for it!) would make a perfect prophylactic.
