The Miami Herald reported not one but two mass shootings, but Mr Dowd won’t worry about them, because though the shooters have yet to be identified, they will probably not be white.
Of the 3,000,000 Americans that die each year, Mx Dana is most concerned that Black men murder some 12,000 other Black men a year. That’s about 0.4% of all deaths in a year. He speculates that this statistic proves that there is a “Black culture” problem, which bolsters his belief that Blacks are inferior to whites. He, like all reliable conservatives, refuses to consider that white (American) culture has influenced Black Americans.
Mx Dana’s only concern regarding mass murders is if the suspect may be Black.
Mx Dana was unconcerned that 500,000 Americans died from Covid in 2020; and that’s in addition to the 3 million or so dying from other causes.
In 2017, the causes of death in the US were:
Heart disease: 659,041
Cancer: 599,601
Accidents (unintentional injuries): 173,040
Chronic lower respiratory diseases: 156,979
Stroke (cerebrovascular diseases): 150,005
Alzheimer’s disease: 121,499
Diabetes: 87,647
Nephritis, nephrotic syndrome, and nephrosis: 51,565
Influenza and pneumonia: 49,783
Intentional self-harm (suicide): 47,511
In America, although our homicide rate is much higher than other advanced nations, homicide is a blip on the radar. That’s not to dismiss the impact of homicide on society, it is significant although as noted earlier, street crime is not as impactful as mass murders where the perpetrators are typically committing acts of terrorism.
Mx Dana, we get it. You wish to keep your white privileges and feelings of white superiority. In that you differ little from most of us white Americans.
Let me ask you what I’ve asked doogie hoser MD. How would you solve America’s Black “violence” problem? “Grabbing” all guns would slash street murders and mass murders, just as it has in other advanced nations, wouldn’t it? AMERICA WILL NEVER DO THAT!
Here are some hints from research:
People living in households in the US that have an income level below the Federal poverty threshold have more than double the rates of violent victimization compared to individuals in high-income households.
When people live in households that are struggling with poverty, they also have a higher rate of violence that involves a firearm at 3.5 per 1,000 people compared to 0.8-2.5 per 1,000 people in middle-to-high income families.
For both whites and blacks/African-Americans in the US, the overall pattern of being in poverty with the highest rates of victimization was consistent. For Hispanics and Latinos, violent victimization is relatively equal across all income levels.
Hispanics in the US who are living in poverty have nearly half the rates of violent victimization when compared to poor whites. Even poor blacks/African-Americans have a lower rate of violent victimization in poverty compared to whites.
Urban poverty increased the risks of violence and crime for US households, but did not change the racial risk factors. Whites are the most at risk in an urban poverty household to experience crime, at a rate of 5.64%. Blacks/African-Americans had the second highest level of risk for experiencing crime in urban poverty at 5.13%.
Dr hoser claims from his experience that Black Americans are lazier and less intelligent than white folks. Is that why Black Americans are overrepresented in our poverty statistics?

But Mr Dowd? He has supported every suggestion that homosexuality and transgenderism and whatnot else are acceptable, yet he throws around accusations of homosexual activity as insults; how is that not hypocrisy?

Ignoring the distinguished Mr Dowd’s insults, I’ll get to the core of his comment:
I’ve told you before, and I’ll tell you again: there is only one solution to the problem, and it has to come from within the black community; white people can’t impose it.
The vast majority of the problems are caused by young black males, from ages 14 to 30. And what is uppermost on the minds of young males of that age? Pussy!
The solution is for young black girls to stop rewarding the bad behavior of black males with sex. Black females need to be taught, in school, in church, at home, and in their neighborhoods, that there is no future in f(ornicating) the bad boys, that the only future is with the guys who finish school, who try to make something of themselves, and who are more likely to be there, to be fathers, when the women get pregnant. Reward the black boys who stay in school, reward the young black men who actually want to go to college or trade schools or apprenticeship programs, reward those who want to be electricians and architects, plumbers and prosecutors, policemen and engineers.
Maybe that won’t be as exciting as the young thug flashing cash and cars from selling smack in Kensington and West Philadelphia, but the black men who are carpenters will still be around when the drug dealers are in jail . . . or pushing up daisies. The young man who wants to live in a McMansion is the one who can actually stay, actually rear and support a family; the one who wants to stay in Strawberry Mansion will wind up leaving, for the prison or the morgue.
All of this is cultural! The choices we take, the lifestyle we want, is determined by how we act and behave and respond in our teens, and those choices are largely determined by our cultural values.

There are about 48 million Black Americans. Assuming that 24 million are Black men, and murdering 12,000 fellow Americans, meaning only 0.025% are violent enough to murder someone…

I’m sure that you won’t disagree that mothers do not want to see their children go to prison. Well, while it’s not a perfect preventative, the most important single thing any mother can do to keep her kids out of jail is to be married to, and live with, the father of her children. yet over 70% of black children in America are born to unwed mothers. In 2019, 24% of white children were growing up in single-parent households, but 64% of black children were.
One out of every three black males in this country has a felony record. You say that blacks suffer poverty unequally? When a full third of black men are precluded from better jobs because they have committed felonies, yeah, that pretty much explains it.
The rate for white males is 13%.
