-4 here in the Great Land at the moment. This time of year a little global warming wouldn’t come amiss.

Wow, I’m surprised she hasn’t melted all the snow.

Thank you for the link, sir!

She’s not ugly, but I’m guessing that those boots aren’t really meant for walking outdoors in snow and ice.

Judging by Alfie’s plush, plush, super plush coat, it’s going to be a cold, miserable winter!

Warnock has advocated for softer crime policies, including ending cash bail. He has criticized the American prison system as a “scandal on the soul of America,” and called to end “mass incarceration.” Warnock has also championed safe housing during his time in the Senate, saying earlier this year that “housing is dignity.”

This has been a recent liberal mantra, and we’ve seen the George Soros-sponsored defense attorneys who ran for office as ‘progressive’ prosecutors implement this in places like Manhattan, San Francisco, and foul, fetid, fuming, foggy, filthy Philadelphia. Every place such have been put into place, crime rates have soared. Apparently the notion that a criminal behind bars is not out on the streets to commit other crimes cannot penetrate the thick skulls of many on the left.

In Philly, five fine gentlemen staked out a football scrimmage at Roxborough High School, laying in wait for a member of a different “cliques of young men affiliated with certain neighborhoods and families.”¹ When he emerged, they jumped out of a stolen vehicle, firing at will, killing a 14-year-old who was apparently innocent of anything, and wounding four others, one of whom was the apparently intended target.

The cops figured out reasonably quickly who the shooters were, and their names and mugshots were publicized. The fact that the police already had their mugshots testified that these fine young men had already had ‘encounters’ with law enforcement.

Just this past week, the police let it be known that at least three of the ‘suspects’ were also believed to have murdered another young gentleman the previous day.

The lenient treatment by these ‘progressive’ prosecutors not only endangers the cities, but it doesn’t even do these ‘suspects’ any favors. Rather than getting locked up for a year or three on the more minor charges for which they’d previously been arrested, rather than giving them at least a chance to figure out that, hey, maybe jail ain’t for me, it enabled them to keep committing crimes, and now these young members of neighborhood cliques are looking at spending the rest of their miserable lives in jail.

¹ – The Philadelphia Inquirer informed us that “there are no gangs in the traditional, nationally known sense. Instead, they are cliques of young men affiliated with certain neighborhoods and families. The groups have names — Young Bag Chasers, Penntown, Northside — and members carry an allegiance to each other, but they aren’t committing traditional organized crimes, like moving drugs, the way gangs did in the past.”
