Chicago’s mayor urges Texas governor not to ship more migrants
Mayor Lori Lightfoot on Sunday urged Texas Gov. Greg Abbott to stop shipping busloads of migrants to Chicago, saying the city does not have the resources to absorb more.
“Your lack of confederation or coordination in an attempt to cause chaos and score political points has resulted in a critical tipping point in our ability to receive individuals and families in a safe, orderly, and dignified way,” said Lightfoot, a Democrat who is set to leave office in May, in the letter to Abbott, a Republican.
Saying she had been informed that Texas meant to resume sending migrants on May 1, Lightfoot added: “We simply have no more shelters, spaces, or resources to accommodate an increase of individuals at this level, with little coordination or care, that does not pose a risk to them or others.”
The transporting of migrants from the Southwest to cities led by Democrats — some have been dropped off at Vice President Kamala Harris’ residence in Washington — has become a hot button issue, particularly when migrants show up in communities that have not had prior warnings about when they would arrive. New York Mayor Eric Adams has been particularly outspoken about the hardships his city is facing, though he has also been sharply critical of President Joe Biden for not dealing with the situation at the border.
Oh, so Chicago, which is all about accepting illegal aliens into the country just wants them to go elsewhere? How about that? Johnson followed up his doubling down on Chicago being a sanctuary city with “As such, we must always resist attempts to pit communities against each other and extend this sanctuary promise to everyone who needs it in our city — both long-time residents and newcomers alike.” Sure sounds like he wants more illegals?
In her letter, Lightfoot complained that some migrants have arrived “in dire need of food, water, and clothing” and echoed criticism that these migrants are being used as political pawns.
Yeah, they do that at the border, too, and cities that do not want them have to deal with it.

Anyway, TX says they can’t find the alleged killer, and have no idea where he might be. That’s convenient.

All this talk about the ‘evil’ of firearms probably persuaded the homeowner from keeping and bearing the Arms needed to defend his family. If Mr Guzman had had his own AR-15 he could have cut down the murderer as he walked up the walkway.
In fact, we advocate shoot to kill of anyone publicly carrying an assault weapon. Tell the police you feared for your life and you’ll be OK.

Chicago is a “Sanctuary City”. Beetlejuice herself said so. Here in TX we calculate it is less a burden on Texas citizens to ship the illegal aliens to a city that welcomes them than support them here. So, we send them to the welcoming arms of “Sanctuary Cities”.
Regarding the illegal alien shooting outside Houston, he had been deported at least 3 times, possibly 5. The reports conflict. Reportedly a cartel worker. The families the bad guy shot were also illegal aliens, no one is very concerned about their immigration status. Bad guy shoots neighbors, all happen to be in the country illegal. The bad guy had been deported and should have jailed the second time he was caught.
