    Three years in, the bell has rung. No, I don’t expect Covidians and vaccine fanatics to apologize. But the ones so deluded as to think THEY still should be judging US – I’m done with them. Forever.

    They’re still shunning us. They cannot possibly still believe they were right, so they must just be too afraid to admit the truth.
    Which makes sense.

    They were cowards from the beginning, hiding in their apartments and houses, behind their masks and face shields, following useless rules and rituals.

    And when the miracle shot arrived, they were desperate for it to save them.

    So. They were cowards.

    Cowardice is forgivable.
    And they were wrong.
    Being wrong is forgivable.
    But at this point their inability to admit the truth – if not to us, to themselves – that’s not forgivable.

    There’s a proposal to build a new arena for the Philadelphia 76ers in downtown, which would be accessible by public transportation on SEPTA, and the only problem is that the residents of Chinatown say it will seriously and negatively impact the character of their neighborhood.

    Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) grilled Interior Secretary Deb Haaland on some key facts about mining for minerals critical to electric vehicle production.

    “On the subject of these sweeping mandates related to electric vehicles that the Biden administration has imposed — including now for our military — the metals needed to make the lithium-ion batteries in those vehicles are, of course, lithium, nickel, graphite, and cobalt,” Hawley said.
    He asked, “Can you tell me what nation is the largest producer of refined lithium in the world?”

    “No, I can’t,” Haaland answered.

    It’s China,” Hawley responded before asking, “Can you tell me which nation is the largest producer of refined cobalt in the world?”

    “No, senator,” Haaland responded.

      Senator Hawley (R-MO) uses a bit of sleight of hand, as usual.

      China REFINES more lithium, having invested billions in extraction operations in Chile, Australia and Canada in the past decade.

      We don’t recall Chubby Don, the world’s greatest business mind, even once advocate that U.S. businesses get involved in lithium refining.

        Maybe Interior Secretary Deb Haaland could have brought that up but being clueless at her job she didn’t know.

        Mark P Mills of the Manhattan Institute posits:

        “You have to dig up about 500,000 pounds of materials to make a single 1,000-pound battery,” he explains. “It takes 100 to 300 barrels of oil to manufacture a battery that can hold one barrel of oil equivalent of energy. Just manufacturing the battery can have a carbon debt ranging from 10 tons to 40 tons of CO2, and the plans that are in place to increase the use of batteries will require an increase of minerals like lithium, cobalt, and zinc. Demand for those minerals will increase between 400 percent and 4,000 percent. There isn’t enough mining in the world to make enough batteries for that many people for their cars.”

        And those figures do not include the disposal of the used up batteries or vehicles.

        EV’s are a waste of resources, time, energy and will pollute the future earth far more than ICE will ever do.

        The entire green deal/net zero crap is simply a way to collapse capitalism and replace it with communism. Or are you too dumb to see that? Close your eyes like you did with Wuhan flu, election theft, trannies etc.
