Yes, yes, the Powers That Be are still trying to keep Bat Soup Virus going, though, most people are ignoring it. Few are wearing masks, no one is talking about getting a COVID shot (except Government), but, hey, the arm matters!
Left or right arm: Choosing where to get vaccinated matters, study suggests. Here’s why
When you roll up your sleeve to get routine vaccinations, do you prefer a jab in your right or left arm? New data suggests the choice you make matters.
Researchers in Germany found people who got all their shots in one arm had a stronger immune response than those who distributed shots between both arms, according to a study published last week in eBioMedicine, a peer-reviewed journal from The Lancet Discovery Science.
In the observational study, authors analyzed immune responses from about 300 people who never had COVID-19 and received two doses of Pfizer-BioNTech’s COVID-19 vaccine between March and September 2021.
Study participants were randomized to receive both doses in one arm or the second dose in the opposite arm. Two weeks after receiving the shots, researchers discovered certain immune cells – commonly known as “killer T cells” – were detected in 67% of people who received both injections in the same arm versus only 43% of those who got them in different arms.
People may respond better to sequential shots in the same arm because the vaccines are targeting the same lymph nodes, making them more active in producing immune cells to fight off infections, study authors suggest. While researchers detected a difference in these cells, they didn’t see a similar trend in spiked protein antibodies.
Huh. That’s interesting. I usually get the flu shot in my left arm, since I’m right handed…..hey, wait a second, what was that about the best being 67% for the killer T cells”? Is that saying that, at best, the Wuhan Flu vaccine could stop 67% of COVID? Weren’t we told that Pfizer was around 95% initially, meaning there was only a 5% chance of people getting COVID? This might explain a lot (though not all) as to why more people got COVID, and more died, despite all the vaccines and forced masking. They really didn’t work, and people felt more free to be close to other people and engage in risky behavior. That was always one of my problems with masking: people felt free to get close to other people, to touch them.
That, and since COVID19 was surely created in a laboratory it spun off variants left and right, and the vaccines weren’t really effective. It’s like getting the flu shot: professionals tailor the shots to be effective against what they think will be the most common variants during a period of time. But, maybe you catch a different one.
(Washington Post) Health officials are unveiling a new arsenal of vaccines to protect vulnerable Americans and exhausted health-care workers from an expected wave of covid, flu and RSV as the fall respiratory virus season begins.
An updated covid booster should be available by late September. Flu shots are arriving at doctors’ offices. And for the first time, infants and seniors could be immunized against respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), a persistent foe that public health officials had few ways to prevent.
But effectively deploying these shields is challenging and confusing.
For the first, no one cares. For the flu and RSV, yes, people care. And, what’s so confusing? The best thing to do would be to stop all the doomy government advertising, leave it up to the doctors. The flu shot was rarely advertised, but, people still got it. It’s easy. I’ll go to CVS or Walgreens (I guess that’s difficult on Democrat run cities where rampant crime is causing them to close down) in October or so, walk in, get the shot, go home.
A study suggests that idiots are twice as likely to believe complete hogwash when it is preceeded by the phrase: “A study suggests”.
