You can bet none of the nation media are mentioning this. I checked, ABC, CBS, NBC, LA Times, Washington Post, NY Times, and a few others
JUST IN: President Biden jokes about how hot the ground is in Maui after a fire ripped through, killing hundreds.
“You guys catch the boots out here? That’s a hot ground, man,” he joked.
Despite media reports of roughly 100 deaths from the fires, locals estimate that at least… pic.twitter.com/mRlVuN9kns

Listen to it yourself. It wasn’t a “good Lord, this is horrific that it is this hot on the ground.” It was meant in a joking manner
(CNN) President Joe Biden arrived in fire-ravaged Maui on Monday to witness up close the devastation left by an inferno more than a week ago and assess for himself a government response that some residents initially found lacking.
The trip brought Biden to the scene of the deadliest American wildfire in more than 100 years. His initial response to the Maui wildfires drew criticism earlier this month, mainly from Republicans, who seized upon a nearly five-day period of silence between Biden’s first comments about the fires to when he next publicly addressed the tragedy.
Pretty sure others “seized” on it, too (rest is below the “more” tag)
As Joe Biden finally arrives in Maui, he's met by OUTRAGED locals holding signs that read:
"You're too late!"
"Actions speak louder than words."Just brutal. pic.twitter.com/tSVWcdKyq3

Many of the signs and what people were yelling was much, much worse.
The trip provides Biden with an opportunity to demonstrate in-person compassion for a community shaken by the disaster, and to dispel some of the early backlash at how he initially reacted, when photos of him on the beach in Delaware made for a striking split-screen as the scope of the tragedy came into focus. A curt “no comment” when he was asked about the death toll last Sunday fueled Republican criticism that he was shrugging off the tragedy. The White House later said Biden couldn’t hear the question. In all, the president went almost five days without addressing the fires publicly following his first comments about it during a speech in Salt Lake City.
Was this while Biden was bringing up his dead wife and child, or the story he told about his own house burning down?
“I know how profoundly loss can impact a family and a community and I know nothing can replace the loss of life,” Biden said in a statement Sunday. “I will do everything in my power to help Maui recover and rebuild from this tragedy,” he continued, adding, “We are focused on respecting sacred lands, cultures, and traditions.”
WATCH: Joe Biden can’t remember the island of “Maui” as he gives a speech in Maui.
This man gets more clueless by the day! https://t.co/NZisy20hCY

Now, listen, I’ve always been of the opinion that the POTUS should not be at most disaster zones, as they really just get in the way (Biden jammed up the roads, obviously). This should be a function of the state, county, and local governments, with an assist from Los Federales if necessary. And, by reports (can we trust them?) the feds have been providing a lot of assistance. But, hey, the standard was set, especially after Bush43 took crap after Katrina (notice he really didn’t need to go to Mississippi or Alabama, which were in the direct path of Katrina, since they had competent government, ie, Republicans). Biden already blew off East Palestine. It took him 2 weeks to get to Maui. And was his typical horrible self.
Meteorologist Teach: But, hey, the standard was set, especially after Bush43 took crap after Katrina (notice he really didn’t need to go to Mississippi or Alabama, which were in the direct path of Katrina, since they had competent government, ie, Republicans).
New Orleans (parish pop ~ 450,000) took a direct hit. No major population area of Mississippi took a direct hit, but 238 people died, and all counties in Mississippi were declared disaster areas, 49 for full federal assistance Katrina missed Alabama. More than half a million people in Mississippi have applied for assistance from FEMA.
Alabama took an indirect hit, but FEMA approved $5.2 million in disaster aid to over 3,000 households in Alabama. Almost 550 truckloads of supplies also arrived in Alabama from logistical centers across the southeast.
Katrina was the second most expensive natural disaster behind only the Texas (ie, Republicans) 2021 winter storm
Is Teach’s point that GOP governors can redirect hurricanes away from their states, like Trump with a Sharpie???
Does Rimjob, dumfuck that he is, have a point to make?
Guess not.

Does Teach’s BoyPussy, shawty that it is, have a point to make?
Mr Teach lied to you that Alabama took a direct hit from Katrina but that it’s Republican administration kept it safer than New Orleans. How stoopid. And the GOP governors extracted millions of dollars from the feds! LOL. Hypocrites, all!!
This is a big problem with connies – they perpetuate lies for decades! Most of what connies ‘believe’ to be true – isn’t. How can they survive in a sea of lies?
And that has exactly um… “what” to do with the Brandon clown show in Maui?
Hard to stay on subject with your leader fucking up daily, hey chubby?

Presidents should keep away from disaster areas. They just cause traffic jams.
But an immediate press conference assuring support would be helpful.
