Judge Rules Requiring Proof Of Citizenship To Vote Is Not Discriminatory

The Biden administration will now provide identification that makes it appear as if illegals are citizens

Arizona’s new voting laws that require proof of citizenship are not discriminatory, a US judge rules

Americans before illegalsA federal judge is upholding provisions of new Arizona laws that would require counties to verify the status of registered voters who haven’t provided proof of U.S. citizenship and cross-check voter registration information with various government databases.

In a ruling Thursday, U.S. District Judge Susan Bolton concluded Arizona legislators did not discriminate when they adopted the laws and the state does have an interest in preventing voter fraud and limiting voting to those individuals eligible to vote.

“Considering the evidence as a whole, the court concludes that Arizona’s interests in preventing non-citizens from voting and promoting public confidence in Arizona’s elections outweighs the limited burden voters might encounter when required to provide (documentary proof of citizenship),” she wrote.

It should be required that you are a U.S. citizen with the right to vote, and that you are voting in the correct state and district. Why is this a problem for Democrats?

Arizona is required to accept the federal registration form, but anyone who does not provide proof of citizenship is only allowed to vote for president, the U.S. House or Senate. The federal form requires people to swear they are U.S. citizens, but there is no proof requirement.

Well, that’s what Democrats are really looking for, to get non-citizens to vote and install Democrats in Congress and the White House.

While supporters said the measures would affect only voters who have not shown proof of citizenship, voting advocates claimed hundreds of thousands of people who haven’t recently updated their voter registration or driver’s license could be affected.

Well, update your registration. It’s not that difficult. We do things all the time where we have to update. You moved? How many things must you update? Auto loan, insurance, credit cards, bank, and more. Most states require under penalty of law that you update your driver’s license, typically within 90 days. Seriously, The U.s. seems to be the only country in the world that finds it “controversial” to be a citizen before voting.

The fact that someone would even question this law as ‘discriminatory’ begs the questions Why? What’s your motive? As a citizen, you have the right to vote. Provided you are a citizen, you follow the format, and you show ID. What’s discriminatory there?? NOTHING.

Meanwhile, here in NC, the media is bleating about new voting laws

New limits on the time to return mail-in ballots. A ban on ballot drop-boxes. A law – once struck down as unconstitutional, then revived by a new conservative majority on the state supreme court – requiring voter ID at the polls.

On top of that, the latest redistricting maps were being challenged by lawsuits that argued they diluted Black electoral influence and were designed to keep the GOP in control of most legislative seats.

“These are attempts to suppress votes,” the pastor, Rev. Jay Augustine, said before the service.

Soon the crowd was lined up in cars or had boarded a bus with a paper sign pasted onto the driver-side door that read “Souls to the polls.” They rode in a caravan to a nearby polling site, arriving to music from a live DJ and signs for various candidates.

“We shouldn’t have things that stop people from voting,” said Carla Gilchrist, 52, an elementary school teacher who arrived at the polling place with the church caravan. New barriers, she said, only cemented her desire to vote.

Yet, for all that kerfuffle, no one from the church group had an issue voting. And, yes, we should stop people from voting who are not eligible. Virtually everyone has ID, and the state will provide ID for free for the tiny minority who do not.

Looks like the usual suspects whipped up my brothers and sisters into a frenzy over nothing. Well that’s not unusual these damn niggas are idiots they keep voting Democrat So what are you gonna do? But you do see there how the Democrats have managed to infiltrate churches which are supposed to be nonpolitical that’s how they get their tax exemption whip them up into a anti republican , anti American an anti white frenzy and then bus them to vote.

So what they’re doing is marching against honest legitimate secure voting. Now why would any person group of people or political party want to destabilize the security of voting? Tell me what could be their motive? Hummmm, Let’s see. Cheating perhaps to steal an election? Sounds like what they’re doing. Getting ready for that all important 2024 election that’ll either keep America pro American or I’ll switch our country to a communist archipelago of states forever. What could the Democrats possibly want?

Plus because of the previously positioned precedent any protests about said election will be considered an insurrection and we will be arrested, possibly shot in the streets, but nonetheless disenfranchised. Not that we haven’t already been disenfranchised one piece at a time.

Yeah them Democrat communist surely knew their way around the constitution. And yet every time they need the protection of said constitution they bring an outstand right behind. It’s kinda like how they prove the point my quote in the Bible tell you even though they’re all pagan atheists. What a totally corrupt party!

Republicans want to suppress the vote of Democratic constituencies, the poor, Blacks, Hispanics etc, by making it more difficult to vote. Reduce poll hours, reduce polling places, reduce absentee and mail-in voting, in fact erecting any hurdle they can think of. The Republican Party is whiter, Christianer and richer than ever before.

The storming of the US Capitol, engineered to interrupt the certification of the vote, breaking down windows and doors and attacking security was more than just a protest.

      • Jl says:

“Want to suppress the votes..” Good one-no, just illegal votes. And there’s no proof any votes have been suppressed, anyway.
“The storming of the US Capital..” Good drama! Almost like storing the beaches of Normandy, right? But definitely “storming”, as there’s a picture of the stormers walking between the velvet ropes that guide visitors in one of the rotundas. But never forget-Dems cheered BLM and Antifa rioters for 8 months before they were outraged by Jan. 6th

Explain why these alleged actions do not effect everyone. Plack, white, red, yellow and in between.

If you really wanted to shut down complaints/claims, etc., by everyone concerned you would be pushing for paper ballots and as least as much voter ID as I had to show last month when I checked into a hotel.

Mail in ballots should be limited to the military overseas and/or people who apply for an absentee ballot in person.

Anybody too stupid or lazy cannot be trusted with a vote. Fuck ’em.

  2. H says:

40% of Americans over 80 yo do not have a drivers license. Getting the documents that attach would be required might be difficult and result in their neither voting nor being able to vote.

    • L.G.Brandon!, L.G.Brandon! says:

They all have Social Security moron which means they have a Social Security card. And guess what if a few people fall through the cracks that’s too damn bad. For some reason you want every single person to vote as long as they vote your way. I bet you if everybody coming across the border was a republican you wouldn’t feel so strongly about it. Same goes for every person over 80.

By the way a drivers license is not the only ID you can get. And just because something is “difficult” doesn’t relieve you of being able to do it or needing to do it. If it’s too difficult for them to vote then they shouldn’t vote. America’s not gonna collapse because they don’t vote. What are you some kind of a nut?

      • JimS says:

These days, a driver’s license doesn’t prove citizenship, at least in many states.

  3. H says:

30% of people over 805yo “the Greatest Generation” do not have a drivers license. For them, meeting the requirements of what Teach might think is required, would be difficult.
Back in the hood old days when America was great it was never felt necessary to have a federal law declaring it illegal and fixing penalties. That law was not passed until 1996.
The Brennan study of 42 jurisdictions looked at 33.5 million votes and found 30 cases of non citizens voting. My guess ? Would be their bites were split between the 2 parties. Should we risk taking away the vote from the 30% of people over 85xo (the greatest generation) to stop an infinitesimal number of non citizens from voting ?

    • david7134 says:

      John,
A drivers license is not required to vote. You are required to have proof of identity. You can easily obtain such proof from your government with picture, meets all requirements. But you are required to have an id for most activities in the US. So what is the big deal?
For that matter, if you can’t come up with the required material, you don’t need to be voting.

yes I can easily get proof of citizenship BUT not everyone can. I think that even you would agree that disabled, elderly and there might have a hard time doing things that you or I would find quite easy. Such as those 300000 (my est) of people born before 1929. Should needed prof of citizenship always be free? If not shouldnt that be considered a modern poll tax like what was used to disenfranchise blacks during Jim Crow times?
did you get a chance to check that citation for Trump stopping all deportations of Venezuelans (that you called me a liar for posting? I will post it up again let me know what you think!!

Most, and actually I think that it’s all, states offer state-issued identifications, normally in the same office that issues driver’s licenses, and they do so for free.

Of course, there are those who simply can’t get to the driver’s license, facility, but if they are that disabled, the vast majority won’t be voting anyway, because if they can’t get to the DL bureau, they also can’t get to the polls.

        • david7134 says:

          John,
But you are a liar. Post whatever you desire, will not make a difference.

Jim Crow? You have no idea about Jim Crow, I liked that time. You could walk down the street without crime. Things were clean. As to poll tax, never heard of it, another lie. All that blacks had to do in Mississippi was read the Preamble. That was to show they were educated. Funny, most can’t today.

Carbon boy-and probably close to 100% of them have birth certificates, which would indicate citizenship.

    • JimS says:

My Dad couldn’t get a birth certificate, which he needed to apply for a passport. Apparently, the county courthouse back in rural Kentucky over 90 years back burned down with all the records. Strangely enough, the Army depot that held his WWII records also burned down. Anyway, even a birth certificate isn’t proof of citizenship any more. You’d need a parent’s BC or naturalization papers as well.

      • unklc says:

JimS, your dad’s WW2 discharge docs or a certified copy of his DD214, usually filed in the county courthouse, should have been adequate. He probably ran into a garden variety gummint worker that didn’t want to expend any effort. The St Louis Records fire destroyed a lot of military records, my Grandpa, Dad, and Uncle’s records were in the section that burned.Luckily, the old man kept his copies of his docs in a file with souvenirs and pix of his tour with the 3rd AD. Passports are supposed to be difficult to get and a driver’s license should be. Government issued i.d. cards aren’t very hard to get.
Our resident troll should go to Florida where quite a few 80+ y.o.s are driving around and some really old people as well.

        • Professor Hale says:

The St Louis Records fire destroyed a lot of military records…

That fire seems to destroy every record that gets sent to St Louis. I suspect it is connected to the furnace and keeps the building warm in the winter.

Doesn’t anyone remember the “Real ID” law that congress passed and never repealed right after 9-11? It seems that any law the Left doesn’t like, they just ignore with impunity. A Republican office holder would be impeached for far less (I can name one who was).

        • Jims says:

unklc: I don’t know if he tried for the discharge docs when trying for a passport or if it for some extra senior help from the VA. He’s passed now in any case. :-(

  6. Jl says:

I’ve seen the “greatest generation” defined as those born 1900-1925. That would make the youngest GG, if still alive, 99 years old

    • CarolAnn says:

I think the greatest generation refers to those who lived through the Great Depression and World War 2 but died before 2000.

I also don’t think the greatest generation was particularly great.

    • Elwood P. Dowd says:

The Greatest Generation are those that defeated the Axis powers in WWII. Any American living through WWII would qualify since they all made sacrifices.

The rest of us are pussies in comparison.

      • JimS says:

Wow…. we agree on something. :-) My Dad and uncle were both WWII vets. Dad says he was on the way to Japan for the invasion which was made unnecessary suddenly. Uncle was on his way to D-Day when his ship was hit in the rudder and had to put in for repairs.

      • CarolAnn says:

Which war did you fight in Elwood? I’m sure not you’re not a comparative pussy are you? I no there’s at least one guy here back foot in Vietnam and won medals and I can’t remember who it is. I also know LG Brandon is a firefighter who runs in and out of fire saving people so I would eliminate him as a pussy. What is it that you do exactly that makes you not a pussy?

Actually based on your communist proclivities I would categorize you as a prick rather than a pussy.

        • drowningpuppies says:

2 million Americans live in either nursing homes or assisted living homes
Should these people be lowed to vote by mail?

    • david7134 says:

      John,
Why are we required to get nursing home votes?
If they are incapable of arranging their own affairs then they don’t need to vote.
You do realize we are not a democracy? We are a Constitutional Republic. That does not assure voting as you imagine.
The Dems committed massive voter fraud in 2020 as per Biden’s own lips. So every care must be exercised to prevent this again.

  8. Elwood P. Dowd says:

    Mt Teach typed:

what Democrats are really looking for, to get non-citizens to vote and install Democrats in Congress and the White House

It’s true that most Americans prefer Democrats in Congress and the WH, but it’s the Repubic Party that suppresses Dem votes and gerrymanders Democrats out of state legislatures.

Where in the Constitution does it say only citizens can vote? 14th Amendment?

    • drowningpuppies says:

Like always, Rimjob reverts to another liberal (Ricky Maddow) logic justification, tortured as it may be, to again prove he has difficulties with reality.
