Agree. Transsexual is a psychosis and their perception of being the opposite sex is a delusion. They are basically harmless so treatment is rarely necessary. But of late government has decided to participate in the delusion and therefore worsening the delusion. This is simply to obtain money from these pathetic individuals. Doctors have gotten in on the act as they push for procedures that are expensive, and don’t work.
According to the American Psychiatric Association (but not the Peruvian Psychiatric Ass.):
Transgenderism CAN also coexist with a psychosis (a mental condition that makes it difficult to differentiate between reality and non-reality – e.g., actually believing Trump won the 2020 election). The emotional turmoil caused by Trump’s loss could have resulted in psychotic breaks amongst the far-right. But transgenderism is not considered a psychosis.
The cause of transgenderism is unknown but is likely related to the complex interplay of hormones and receptor activity during in utero brain development.
Proclaiming transgenderism and/or gender dysphoria a “psychosis” is not supported by evidence.
Fact is that you are not a doctor and do not understand most medical literature or positions. Transgender is an illness.
Do you have anything other than your opinion to support diagnosing transgenderism as a psychosis?
The psychiatric community has deemed belief in gods, demons, angels, heavens, selkies, hells, miracles, leprechauns, spirits, ghosts, sasquatches etc to NOT be labelled psychotic because so many people believe in these imagined specters. To label believers as mentally ill would serve no therapeutic purpose.
On the other hand, to label believers in the Big Lie (i.e., that somehow President Biden invented millions of votes with the help of a dead Venezuelan strongman, Italian satellites, German servers, etc) as psychotic, besides being true, also can benefit the nation.
What is the therapeutic purpose in calling the transgendered psychotic? It’s really just useless name-calling.
