‘I’m pressuring the Israelis’: Biden says he warned Israel to follow US instructions
United States President Joe Biden, said at an event for influencers at the White House last week that he sent $26 billion in aid to Israel to bolster security for the Jewish state. The president added that he was also putting pressure on Israel.
“First of all, Israel’s security in the region is essential,” Biden said. “I am pressuring the Israelis to withdraw and open more humanitarian transits, and I think we are getting closer.”
“I have made very clear to the Israelis what they have to do in the near term and if they don’t, what’s going to happen,” Biden told one of the participants at the event.
The video cut off after the videographer questioned whether Biden intended to end aid to Israel if the Israelis did not do as the president asked.
The United States repeatedly made clear that it did not support IDF operations in Rafah, where many Palestinian civilians fled to escape the war.
Israel has continued with the Rafah operations, noting that Hamas has built significant terror infrastructure embedded within civilian communities. Additionally, Israel has highlighted concerns that some of the over 250 hostages may have been held there.
Seriously, has anyone noted Biden castigating Hamas, which is a US State Department designated terrorist group? He barely mentions them. Most of his yammering is about Israel not going after the group that attacked the nation on October 7th, injuring, raping, torturing, kidnapping, and killing Jews. And you can bet that most of these …..grrrrrr…influencers are certainly far left Democrats who hate Israel and Jews and now support Hamas.

Biden’s $320 Million Gaza Pier Removed From Area Again After Costly Repairs
President Joe Biden’s pier off the shore of Gaza experienced another blow this week and has to once again been relocated due to weather conditions.
The pier, which estimates have said costs up to $320 million, was forced offline late last month after it fell apart amid stormy sea conditions and sections of it washed up on the shoreline.
“Today, due to expected high seas, the temporary pier will be removed from its anchored position in Gaza and towed back to Ashdod, Israel,” said U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) in a statement. “The safety of our service members is a top priority and temporarily relocating the pier will prevent structural damage caused by the heightened sea state.”
$22 million in repairs, then it has to be removed again because it cannot take some waves. Who would have thought that the Mediterranean would have waves. Seas don’t do that. It’s always super calm, right?

Remember that? $700. What’s the government doing for Maui? Some have pointed out that it would have meant just an extra $600 for each resident. But, if that $320 million had been used for direct assistance it would have helped Americans.

A lot of the coverage of this is unclear about the costs involved.
There is the cost of procure a floating pier and add it to the inventory. Since the piers are modular (think LEGOs) the cost includes the pieces you buy and don’t use, as well as pieces from other sets that you had to buy to get the right pieces you need for your project. You pay these costs as a taxpayer even if you never send it to Israel. In fact, you already paid it years ago. But that cost is not “expended ” when you build this pier, because at the end of the operations, the pier parts go back into the Army inventory and the only costs are repair of the fair wear and tear as well as any damage from storms, enemy action, or incompetent handling. So, at the end of the operation, you still have a pier, ready to use in the next operation.
Then there are the operational costs to keep and maintain the stuff in the inventory and use it occasionally for training. These costs will be paid every year even if you never send it anywhere.
Then there are the exceptional costs for making the choice to send this pier and all its parts and people to Israel. That includes the shipping costs to cross the Atlantic of the 6 major ocean-going vessels, including the two that never arrived due to mechanical issues. It also includes some contractor charges to pay the civilian crews on those ships, and contracts to refuel and resupply those ships in ports, and contracts to do the site prep in Gaza.
The media and much of the internet is too lazy to add up all those costs and report it accurately so they just throw around the number that was in the press release and never ask, $320 Million? What is included in that? Does it increase?
We don’t really know what the real cost of this is. We will never know. Congress will never allocate money for this operation, as is required by law. The Biden administration will simply take it out of other funds that Congress allocated for other things. Parts of the DoD budget will go for this instead of upgrading family housing at Fort Hood or training the shore teams at Ft Eustis.
“Influencers” used to be parents, coaches, preachers, teachers. Now kids are influenced by other airheads on social media. The results are obvious.
I recently watched a documentary on the WWII D-Day invasion. Those guys built a floating harbor off France. Maybe they were more motivated, and knew what they were doing.
