Last week, an Ecuadorian migrant held two 13-year-olds, a girl and a boy, at knifepoint in a Queens park as they walked home from school.
He was arrested Tuesday for allegedly sexually assaulting the girl and stealing the teens’ phones.
There is a remedy.
In November, voters nationwide will get to choose between the Democratic Party’s open-border policy and Republican Donald Trump’s promise to deport millions who have come to the US illegally.

But New York City voters deserve to have an added choice on Election Day: that of keeping our lunatic “sanctuary city” laws that shield migrant criminals from deportation, or repealing those local ordinances.
Repeal would allow migrant criminals to be deported after their first offense — before they have a chance to go on to rape and murder.
Last week, eight members of the City Council’s Common Sense Caucus fired off a letter to the Charter Revision Commission — the body that holds the power to put questions on the ballot in November — explaining that the City Council has refused to repeal our disastrous sanctuary city laws.
Since the City Council won’t act, they argued, let voters decide.
So, if the question is on the ballot, what will the majority decide? You can bet most of the Elites will vote to continue being a sanctuary city, because the city doesn’t let the illegals hang out in the toney and well to do parts of SCNY, just where the middle and working class live.
Of course, allowing illegals into SCNY in the first place is dangerous: how many have committed serious crimes for their first offense? And, sure, New Yorkers commit crime, too, but, they are Americans. These illegals shouldn’t even be in the nation, and are just here to take advantage of the U.S., not be a part of the melting pot.

FDR turned back the Jews trying to reach the US to avoid the camps. FDR was well aware of the camps. He sent them to their deaths.
In 1924, Congress (Republican House and Senate, President Coolidge(R-MA))) passed a law to set immigration quotas by country and limit total immigration to about 164,000 people per year. The quotas were designed to “protect” America’s “racial stock” by severely limiting “undesirable” immigrants, including Jews, Asians, and Africans. U.S. Representative Albert Johnson (R-IL), a eugenics advocate, and Senator David Reed (R-PA) were the two main architects of the act.
Immigration fell significantly after the 1924 law went into effect. In 1929, the Great Depression began.
In 1933, Adolf Hitler became chancellor of Germany. FDR was elected US President. The Nazi regime immediately started discriminating against German Jews, and thousands sought to leave. The 1924 US quota law set a limit of 25,957 immigration visas for people born in Germany. In 1933, the State Department issued visas to only 1,241 Germans. Although 82,787 people were on the German waiting list for a US visa, most did not have enough money to qualify for immigration.
Congress did not revise the immigration law until the 1950s.
Anti-Semitism did not originate with Hitler. Based on the traditional hostility of Christianity to Judaism, Jews had been persecuted since at least the Middle Ages. In the US, anti-Semitism became more open in the 1880s with the arrival of approximately two million Jewish immigrants from Eastern Europe (see Fiddler on the Roof).
Anti-semitism in the US reached a fever pitch in the 20s and 30s, pushed by the KKK, Henry Ford and Catholic priest and radio star Father Coughlin. The Great Depression with banks failing exacerbated the hatred. The idea that immigrants were replacing white Christians spread widely. Father Coughlin claimed that Marxist/communist atheism in Europe was a Jewish plot headed for America. Eventually, radio stations in Chicago and NY stopped hosting Coughlin. In 1938, two thousand Coughlin followers marched in New York protesting potential asylum law changes that would allow more Jews into the US.
In 1939, the SS St Louis sailed out of Hamburg Germany with over 900 Jewish refugees. The St Louis was turned away by Cuba, the US (under order from FDR) and Canada. The UK, Belgium, France and the Netherlands eventually accepted the refugees, and it was estimated that 700 of the 900 survived the Holocaust (see Voyage of the Damned, 1976). In 2012, the US formally apologized in a ceremony to 14 survivors of the incident.
Really Elwood? Christianity doesn’t have a traditional hostility to Judaism Christianity flows from Judaism. You probably don’t realize it being a heathen but all the apostles were Jews and Jesus Christ himself was a Jew. So it’s a little rough for Christians time and traditional hostility toward the founder of their church. Christians unlike every other organized religion in the world tried it’s best to save Jews from Hitler’s wrath. The Muslims and the Hindus and the atheists ignored them but the Christians kept smuggling them out.
I don’t know what it was like in your church but where I grew up you had to learn all about the Old Testament and then when you turn 13 you were confirmed into the light of Jesus Christ. Plus Jews have been persecuted since at least when? Didn’t the pharaoh slaughter a bunch of them around 1300 BC?

I no doubt know as much history as you. Yes, there has been hostility between the Jews and Christians throughout the ages.
In 1939, 85% of Germans were Christian, 55% Protestant, 30% Catholic. Does it surprise you that the worst known treatment of the Jews came at the hands of a Christian nation? In March 23, 1933, Hitler, in his speech to the Reichstag in which he described Christianity as the “foundation” for German values. (Break out the No True Scotsman argument now. Look it up if you need). There were Christians in Germany who objected to the Holocaust.
Lutheran minister Martin Niemöller first supported the Nazi Party but later came to oppose them. He spent 8 years in a Nazi prison. He is famous for his writing:
In the US the Klan was a white supremacist Protestant group that for the “exclusion” of Catholics, Jews and of course, the Negro.
Charles Coughlin was a Catholic priest who led an anti-Jewish cabal in the 30s. His radio program was heard by some 30 million (25% of the population) Americans each week. Coughlin supported much of the Nazi and Italian Fascist policies and attacked Jewish bankers (Great Depression). Once WWII started Coughlin’s show was shut down.
It’s easy to understand the cooperation of German (and other European Christians) with the Nazis. Go along or we’ll murder your wife and children. Same with the occupied Italy and the Vatican. The Church knew of the atrocities in Poland and Germany but had millions of Catholics to protect.
We are not responsible for the actions and beliefs of our ancestors, so there is no reason to deny our history.
Our right-wing brethren and sistren are late to recognizing the value of our Jewish neighbors, but welcome.
The pro-Palestinian protesters have NO right to intimidate or harass Jews. If the break the law, arrest them. Shouting “Jews Won’t Replace Us!” is vile but legal. Sometimes freedom can result in persons feeling threatened. Wear a Biden button at a Trump rally!

I don’t know what “right wing” you’re talking about but back in the days when they hated the Irish and the Italians and the Jews and the Chinese they were the Democrats back then. They were the ones that held slaves and looked down on everybody that wasn’t an Englishman. Just like you and Elwood do now with anybody who’s not rich or leftist or an atheist. And the left still hates juice but now that the left is decided they hate all white people so I guess that makes it OK. They’ve already ruined the black race they’re gonna start working on the right race.

So according to you we should not care who is in our country. Why? All other countries screen immigrants, at least until recent and the European countries are in bad shape due to what they let in. I might call your attention to the fact many of us are Scot Irish German. But I would not have allowed any of those folks in at the time. The Irish were horrible, the Germans introduced socialism in via ther changing the laws with regional majorities and their backing of Lincoln, who was a Marxist. Other groups all contributed to bad social circumstances of the times.
Sorry I would the Christianity in Germany had absolutely nothing to deal with the horrible treatment the Jews receive. Germany have been Christian for hundreds of years they didn’t treat the Jews bad because of that. The Jews were slaughtered and murdered or raped and pillaged because leftists took over socialists to be exact. Part of leftist doctrine is they have no respect for private property and nobody’s property is more private than themselves than their lives then their families.
