Former President Donald Trump was whisked off the stage by Secret Service on Saturday at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, after what appeared to be multiple rounds of gunfire could be heard.
The former president gestured to the crowd with a fist before being escorted off the stage. Butler County District Attorney Richard Goldinger said the suspected gunman was dead and at least one rally attendee was killed, according to The Associated Press.
” An incident occurred the evening of July 13 at a Trump rally in Pennsylvania. The Secret Service has implemented protective measures and the former President is safe. This is now an active Secret Service investigation and further information will be released when available,” Secret Service Chief of Communications Anthony Guglielmi said in a statement on Saturday.

Yesterday, someone tried to kill Donald Trump. Trump is one of the most heavily guarded people in America, guarded by the most competent guardians on the planet.
They were defeated by a 22 year old kid with emotional stability issues.
This was a bad day for Trump. This was a terrible day for American politics. There are not words to describe how bad this was for the Secret Service. Every agent present knows that they let a bullet get through to within an inch of offing their protectee. Every single agent present bears that shame and they will forever. You can tell when they dogpiled Trump and surrounded him with their bodies as if to say, “the next bullet better go through me first”… once the danger had already passed and anyone could see there were no more bullets coming. Shame. Unendurable, unending shame.
2. Once again, Leftists in the gun control circles pointed out that an AR-15 was used by the assassin. But they never pointed out that most of the protection detail also were armed with AR-15s. The same gun used to harm, also used to protect. It is inevitable that more people will be killed by AR-15-type rifles in America. Not because the AR-15 is inherently dangerous, but because it is so freaking popular. American citizens own tens of millions of them. It is inevitable that some of them will be used by crazy unbalanced people and some will be used by criminals.
