The event flier asks, “Are you concerned by the ongoing genocide in Gaza? Are you looking for ways to bring Gaza or Palestine/Palestinians in general into your courses?”
The non-Islamist supporters at UNC just want to learn the courses that they paid for.

One of the nice things they can’t have is a university education in the USA. If your sole purpose of going to Columbia is to prevent the normal operation of Columbia, you should be immediately expelled. If you are on a student VISA, that should be cancelled and you should be escorted to the airport. Then your name and biometric data placed on a permanent “no entry” list. Political activist is not a job “Americans won’t do”. We have plenty of them already. Home grown activists should not have to compete with foreign activist taking away their jobs.
The fact that Columbia does not immediately expel these “students” can only be attributed to the faculty and staff being on their side. The establishment loves to pretend they are anti-establishment. Further, as we have already learned, most of the activists are not students at Columbia. Columbia faculty is still trying to play both sides of supporting student demonstrations, because it reminds them of their own activist days, but they don’t want the gravy train from wealthy Jewish donors to grind to a halt either.
One wonders, what careers are these “students” preparing themselves for? I suspect it is highly paid executive and policy positions in the US State Department.
