Ft. Liberty Troops Heading To Western NC At Some Point

What’s taking so long? Why are they not already there a week later?

1,000 Fort Liberty soldiers deploy to western NC

One-thousand soldiers from Fort Liberty’s Infantry Battalion Task Force are heading to western North Carolina to help with recovery efforts.

During his visit to North Carolina on Wednesday, President Joe Biden announced that the troops will join the North Carolina National Guard in delivering supplies, food and water to isolated communities.

Soldiers at Fort Liberty have been preparing for the past week for a possible deployment to western North Carolina in the wake of Hurricane Helene. The soldiers are from the 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade, part of the 82nd Airborne Division. Other units, including engineers and Army communicators, are on standby for deployment.

Photos shared by the Department of Defense (DoD) show soldiers at Fort Liberty loading vehicles with equipment and supplies, ready to deploy.

Why were they not ready last week before the storm? Everyone knew there would be damage. Most didn’t think it would be this bad, but, they knew it would be bad. It was raining hard for days. Remember, the Bush43 admin had military, FEMA, and aid units pre-positioned before Katrina made landfall. And, here we have them talking about “will join.” When? Does no one in the news media know how to ask questions and demand answers? Why are engineers not being deployed? ABC11 Raleigh isn’t even running a current story. CBS17 writes

Soldiers, equipment and resources from Fort Liberty headed out to western North Carolina Thursday to assist with the N.C. National Guard and Federal Emergency Management Agency with Hurricane Helene recovery efforts.

But, did they? Cruising through a bunch of news outlets in Greensboro, Charlotte, and other cities, there are almost no stories on them actually moving to the mountains. You’d think this would be big news, right? That news outlets would do their job and check up? Wonder why it’s taken so long? If Trump was president they’d be roasting him right now, and he’d deserve it.

Duke Energy substation in WNC needs to be rebuilt due to damage from Helene amid power outages

Around 200,000 Duke Energy customers in western North Carolina still have no power after Helene swept through the area last week.

ABC affiliate WLOS reported the substation Swannanoa River Road, powering customers in the Biltmore Village area, is surrounded by rubble.

He said the substation will need to be torn down and rebuilt over the next three to four months. The energy company will be installing a temporary substation in the meantime.

It’s not just poles and wires. You have all these small and big stations that are damaged, and it’s not like a built up suburban/urban area. These are towns generally separated far from other town, with people on the outskirts and miles away.

What is taking so long is that this is an unexpected October surprise for the Democrats. If we do not put relief into NC and Western Florida, these people will not be voting anytime soon.

Trump loses NC and Florida because his main strength is in western Florida, and he needs NC. NC is tight, and if he loses 100,000 votes because the areas smashed up are RED areas of NC, then voila. Harris wins. The same holds for losing votes in Georgia. Losing those three states will give Harris a win, even if Trump wins Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, along with Arizona and Nevada.

Florida, NC, GA, and NV account for 66 votes, while PA, MI, and WI account for 48 votes. These numbers could be off by a vote or two because I haven’t kept up with any changes since the census.

Harris would win even more electoral votes by flipping these states and losing the Rust Belt than if things remained status quo.

This is why you see HORRIBLE responses out of FEMA to RED areas of NC, FL, and Georgia and parts of TN.
