Cardinal Who Took Fossil Fueled Flight To COP29 Calls You Selfish

I supposed he could have taken the train, but, it would have required an insane amount of stops traveling up through Italy and through the old Soviet Union satellite states, down through Turkey, then up into Azerbaijan. How many days would that take? We all know he flew, and probably a Vatican owned private jet

Selfishness is blocking progress on climate change, cardinal says

climate cowEfforts to slow climate change and mitigate its impact, particularly on the poor, are being thwarted by selfishness, the Vatican secretary of state told world leaders at the COP29 climate conference.

Representing Pope Francis at the conference in Baku, Azerbaijan, Cardinal Pietro Parolin told the leaders that their Nov. 11-22 gathering was taking place at a time of “growing disillusionment with multilateral institutions and dangerous tendencies to build walls.”

But, he said, “selfishness — individual, national and of power groups — feeds a climate of mistrust and division that does not respond to the needs of an interdependent world in which we should act and live as members of one family inhabiting the same interconnected global village.”

Ignoring or denying the problem will not make the problem go away, the cardinal said. “Indifference is an accomplice to injustice.”

I’m sure he got a rousing round of applause from all the individuals, nations, and power groups who took long fossil fueled trips to the petrofuel nation of Azerbaijan in an attempt to take the money and liberty of people around the world.

Azerbaijan is a significant and expanding producer of petroleum and natural gas, and the country needs exports to support its people; its agricultural production is not sufficient to feed everyone, so naturally that’s where the hoitiest and the toitiest go to lecture people about using fossil fuels.

The Roman Catholic Church has been a cesspool of crime for centuries. Pedophilia, rape, murder, theft, cover-ups…

Mr Teach falls back on his trope that the Pope is evil because of his understanding of global warming.

    • drowningpuppies says:

Ergo “global warming” is a religion.
      Rimjob’s a believer.

      MAGA MOTHERFUCKER!

      • Elwood P Dowd says:

        Motherfucker,

Global warming is not a religion, dumbass.

Religions are not refutable with evidence. Scientific theories are.

There is absolutely NO evidence of gods, demons, miracles, spirits, angels, heaven or hell.

There is significant evidence that greenhouse gases resident in Earth’s atmosphere are causing the Earth, oceans and atmosphere to warm.

    Chicken Little Hamas Karen Man

Religions are not refutable with evidence. Scientific theories are.

And when they are refuted they are no longer scientific theories. They depend on “belief.”

Man made global warming has been refuted. It is not predictable.

Ergo it is a religion. And like the Catholic Church its Leaders have grown rich.
